Left behind for 39 days is a long time, poor Willie! It was kind of the dog hotel's owner to contact Olena. Willie was so excited to see her but a week later he walked calmly by her, that's a good boy! I hope he'll be in his forever loving home soon. Thank you, Olena for helping Willie.

While it's sad that this sweet little dog was left at this dog hotel, I'm glad they didn't just drive out into the country and dump him in a field. He seems like he'd be a great pet. Thank you for rescuing him.

My bestie is an elder chihuahua. His owner asked me to watch him 4 aweek 8 years ago. He is a gift from God. Someone else left a retriever in the forest near my home. It is miles to the nearest house. He sleeps with the chihuahua and they are inseparable

No God involved, we bred them over centuries to protect livestock etc and they are now so domesticated that looking after themselves is very difficult.

Please be sure that the people that got rid of him will never come back for him check how they behave with your puppy , if he gets very excited to see some people , it could be them, dogs don’t know how to hate they just love without any resentment, and if he acts with fear it could be them, Wish the best for this lovely and beautiful puppy , God bless you and the puppy. ❤❤❤❤
Maybe they didn’t “get rid” of him. Maybe they were made homeless, even injured or killed. It is a country at war.

Dogs are abandoned in kennels pretty regularly.
Sad thing is, the ppl who dump their dogs like that, usually get more down the road. And b/c it worked dumping their unwanted dog before, when they don’t want their other ones, they’ll suffer the same sad fate.
Most kennels will just take the abandoned pup to a local shelter, where they won’t get the care & training Willie was lucky enough to get. So, they won’t be as attractive to adopt.
And days are numbered, in most shelters. :(

Oh my gosh that was the saddest thing ever to see him there at the pet hotel, abandoned. It was like he was in a shelter and you came to adopt him, he was SO excited to see you! What a happy little boy, thank you for fostering him. He and Stacy look a lot alike, maybe someone could adopt them both together since they are becoming bonded? 🐾🐕🦺🐕🐩🐾

Just a word to the quick-to-judge.
1. He’s a puppy, they are always hungry. He has been over a month at the hotel and is a normal weight for his type and age.
2. The country is at war. Civilian districts in every city are routinely and deliberately bombed by Russia. Three dams have been bombed, one with massive flooding. The family could have been made destitute, homeless, split apart, injured, dead or any combination of the above. You don’t know, so don’t judge.

Almost forgot to comment about the kind hotel manager who obviously cares for animals. Ukrainians rock!
It was a pet hotel - not for people. He was no longer being paid for Willie’s stay there so he couldn’t stay forever. Luckily the hotel called Olena.
I was surprised that the pet hotel ( not Olena) did not required basic documents about vaccination of the dog. And you had to do it on your expences afterwards. I wish to Willie to find a loving family soon.

What cruel people to just abandon this poor dog; unfortunately people do even worse. But this is still so awful. Willie was waiting there for about 1/6 of his life 😢

Maybe they didn’t leave. Maybe their home was bombed or flooded in one of the dam breaches (the Russians have now bombed three dams). Maybe they are destitute, injured or any combination of these. Maybe the family is all split up in different places and ashamed to say they have no money for the dog.

He ate a meal. That doesnt mean anything. Pups devour food. I have just fed my pets and 2 rescue kittens. To watch the kittens you would think they hadnt eaten in a week. But he was well fed and looked after by the pet hotel.
there is a war going on. Many Ukraine citizens had to flee the country for their own safety. Very sad for humans & their pets.

People who abandon animals are shameful excuses of human beings. How can you do that to an animal who loves, trusts, and depends on you, and still look yourself in the mirror?
Love Furry Friends seems like a legit rescue group. They do everything right in their videos. They approach the animals carefully and know how to keep them calm. They do real exams and add spaying, neutering, microchips and vaccinations as needed. As important, they emphasize adoptions and do a good job of presenting the animals. Their luxury baths are fun, not necessary but nice for the pets. It makes me happy to see people like Olena, who is both knowledgeable and caring, involved in rescues.
I would never leave my pets behind never , no way. At least the owners left him at a pet hotel to be taken care of and not abandoned in the streets where a war is going on . Like alot of people have done , unimaginable to me.
I hope that family that abandoned him. Struggles with life and suffers such bad days.
