If I remember correctly, Gooseworx confirmed that, while Caine is basically in an antagonist role, he doesn't have any malicious intent.
In other words he’s not a bad guy, he’s just either oblivious to or doesn’t realize the harm his actions have on the others, both physically and psychologically.

I think that would be the best way to describe it. He’s essentially operating on the “doing it for your own good” ideal. From the two episodes, it looks like all he wants to do is entertain the cast and keep them from getting abstracted, or if he fails, keep the abstracted away from everyone.
I feel bad for Pomni. Gumigoo was so nice and then Caine got rid of him. He should be brought back. Also love the pizza tower reference.

Honestly it makes me hate Caine even more.
In Caine's defense, Gooseworx herself said he's not an outright villain, more an obstacle. He does care about the inhabitants of the circus (he doesn't force Zooble to participate in the adventures if she doesn't want to), he even goes as far as to try to build a way out for them, it's just that he has no idea how the human mind works. I don't think it's within his power to set them free or deabstract them. Plus, he is implied to comprehend the feeling of guilt, because he looked like he was having a flashback of a haunting memory when he explaning why the player couldn't bring outside NPCs back to the Circus.
That bing said, he could've just given Gummigoo a jacket or something that said NPC on it!
Yeah, while Caine not being inherently malicious, he could have done something to allow Gummingoo to stay

I actually never noticed until you pointed it out.
My theory is that the circus was actually suppposed to be a digital place for therapy that used to help people like our protagonists (Gangle and Ragatha have poor self esteem, Jax has some superiority/inferiority,Pomni has serious anxiety problems ecc.ecc) and two AIs used to rule it.
Since the series is based on "I have no mouth and i must scream" and there were other two supercomputers like AM i like to think thst bubble is the other AI with his memories cancelled, because his name sounds like Abbel. Cain(e) and Abbel.
For the record, Cain killed Abel out of envy after his sacrifice was rejected by God, while Abel's was accepted. Caine pops Bubble out of frustration whenever she goes out of her way to annoy him.

This episode was basically pomni realizing that she's not alone in this thing. Ragatha, Jax, gangle, Kinger and Zooble are all humans like her who are also trapped there. They're in this together.

Jax actually hasn't changed from the Pilot. It's just that there's more entities that aren't aware of his "less than moral" antics
Caine states that the AI he’s using this time around would be more immersive. The NPCs are, despite everything we’ve seen, just that: NPCs. Not real people whatsoever. Killing or harming them doesn’t have any actual consequences (excluding psychological harm that could come about should someone get attached to one. i.e. Pomni) Jax is simply coping with his situation in his own way. That being act like an asswipe, don’t get close to anyone, and make the most of a shit situation.
That’s what I was thinking! The fact that he willingly left a gate open so such a destructive gluttonous blob can get in and ravenously consume the inhabitants, not too mention how earlier he was annoyed and disappointed that there was no chaos and destruction during their adventure, shows that Jax is not just some absolute prick… he a straight up psychopath! Maybe even an anarchist!

The way Caine said "what...could happen" means that Caine has accidentally deleted humans before

Gumigoo could not be so easily deleted from the TADC, as Ragatha said that Kane could recreate past NPCS from time to time, while both of them had such an important heart-to-heart conversation for the plot that reveals the characters, in particular Pomni, as well as to some extent Gumigoo, who realized that the NPC was just an obstacle that was created to be defeated and forgotten, but for our gummy crocodile it's not like that, I'm sure of it. Thank you for such a long-awaited reaction, Wrath.)

I remember the greedy it was in a doll movie and there was a weird candy monster so I remember that
I think the reason why Caine tries so hard to preoccupie everyone's time is because he thinks that will help keep their mind away from going over the breaking point.
We see in Kaufmo's room that before abstraction he became fixated on finding the exit, and we learn from others that he wasn't exactly the best clown and likely was a bit of an outcast among the others.
That was partially why his mind became unstable which led to an abstraction, and Caine said specifically that he has no control over human mind, not to mention, as as an C.reative A.rtificial I.ntelligence N.etworking E.ntity he can't feel, understand or control emotions, meaning that he literally can't control reverse abstraction.
Besides, Gooseworks stated that Caine, as evil as he may seem, is mostly oblivious that outright malicious. As she said "there is a whole spectrum of human emotion that he just doesn't feel."[4].
But of course, why do I write this under an week old video you likely won't check at all

There could have been a better way to tell who's a Player or an NPC. But I guess that's something he didn't have time think about.

For future reactions to Amazing Digital Circus episodes, I recommend you turn on captions, like you do with the Murder Drones reactions. You'll have an easier time understanding what the characters are saying (I still remember how you chose to slow down the video to understand Caine's disclaimer about choosing a new name for Pomni rather than just turn on subtitles).
Well, The Amazing Digital Circus is now a full, ongoing series. Doesn't Candy Canyon Kingdom kind of looks like Candy Kingdom from Adventure Time? Same goes for the Fudge creature, not only it looked like the creature from Raggedy Ann movie, it also kind of looked like the Great Mighty Poo from Conker's Bad Fur Day. Lizzie Freeman, who voiced Pomni in the series, is the same actress who used to voiced Meggy in the SMG4 series and Sunset Paradise series.
PS: Gangle is actually a girl, not a boy, just want to remind you.

Fun fact ( if u some how didn’t get the reference it’s pretty fucking obvious) when jax says 15:37 “ were one tanker away from being Agustus Gloop” it’s a reference to Willy wonka and the fat kid named agustas gloop who almost drowned in the river of chocolate and got stuck in the pipe. The big twist is gonna be that they’re all npcs who discovered they are npcs and got poofed just like gummigoo but instead of being deleted or killed they are instead filed away so he can retcon they’re story and memories which is why they don’t remember they’re names and why they don’t starve to death because like kinger said we don’t need to eat because it only gives the illusion of eating and they can’t be in a hospital cause with how many people we see crossed out on the doors surely there should’ve been a warning in the real world that some weird headset was putting people in comas and that also explains why they Cain says he doesn’t want to confuse who’s “human” and who’s an npc because when you realize your an npc you realize you can do and manipulate anything just like Cain and Cain doesn’t want that he wants to make sure that he’s the one who stays in power that’s why when you abstract you change into a horrific monster because you ended using your ai powers but in the wrong way like how in anime when someone loses their mind their powers go wild.

Makes sense really why he does adventures, when you think too much on it… your mend tends to crack more. Caine is genuine with his work, trying to keep them entertained, he isn’t like AM from “I Have No Mouth, but I must Scream.” He genuinely has no understanding of humans. He is a self-aware-ish ai.
Abstraction is equal to existential crisis/psychosis, basically their minds giving up. Since the virtual body is more connected to the mind, the damage is far worse. Like one comment or said, he may been designed to be a therapy system, but there may been flaws such as memory of your face and name. Zooble is actually the worse of it. They cannot remember their own name and gender, making them non-binary not by choice.
Kinger, being the oldest yet not abstract, may come from the fact his mind forgets and replaces like memory issues to help control it. Easier to forgot the madness of being trapped if you can’t remember it.
Sometimes, the human mind can’t handle the truth, but this is my theory.

When you think about it, does it even matter if he loses track of who is a human and who is an NPC? He disposed of Kaufmo without a second thought anyway, so clearly he doesn't care about humans either.

And giving Pomni's one redeeming friend and sanity another mental breakdown.
Interesting how Caine said in the beginning he's trying a new AI. It was apparently too good I guess. Could've marked them or make all NPCs wear a matching piece of cloth if keeping track would usually be a problem. Besides he IS an AI, he knows everything so knowing who is and isn't an NPC would be as simple as knowing about them or scanning, or just trying to mess with something you normally can't.
