The beginning bit is one of my favorite Final Fantasy scenes. Golbez and FuSoYa didn't wait for the player characters. They buckled up and did the first phase of the fight for you

Pretty much shows how tough mages can be, Golbez took a meteor invoked by Tellah head on, and survived, even though it killed its caster. Ff4 cast is a tough bunch
