I've always said White Beard was overtuned. I forgot to mention WB specifically because after the first round of WB bans the deck actually got better because I think overall build before was not optimal. Hoping this doesn't happen with Saka.
Enell i feel is the gatekeeper and aside from some small Saka restricts Enell needs the most R/Bs only a small handfull of decks can beat Enell due to Life regen.

I think your setting your self up for disapointment. The bans are more likely to be like the jp ban list if they hit anything it will be rares and down i cant see jp signing off on anything as extensive as any of the EN bans we had before.
I feel like type locking certain cards wouldn’t be a bad idea but I doubt Bandai will do it. Thriller bark locking Moria to perona and Moria. Dressrosa locking Rebecca. Hell CP lock the lucci too if you feel like it. Interested to see what Bandai does. I won’t lie I do want to play perona next set just because I like her ability and the way she plays but whatever happens it is what it is I’ll still play her.
I feel leader restricts would go over best with the community. Isn't a ban invisible text that you can't play this card in your deck? Whats the difference from a locals/tournaments issue?>
Banlist are a more widely accepted practice than straight up changing how a card works. You could consider leader locking an “errata” but that’s a big leap. It’s just not something I’ve seen in practice yet but I do think it would be a good balance for Moria
Can you see a world where Bandai could go the yugioh route and also have a semi-limited list? I feel some of these cards at 2 would be fair, but 1 and 0 seems harsh, eg Big Mum and potenially Lucci

One thing I’ve noticed in this game is a fair amount of new players who have never played other card games and don’t know how to evaluate cards and don’t see how toxic and egregious some of these cards are.
10c mom is nowhere near the worst thing about yellow. I hate yellow. The triggers are the reason yellow is so strong. If Kata sees 2 or less triggers, almost any leader can beat it by turn 6
Do you think that Gecko will be banned or limited even for our op06 here? Card hasn’t even been released here. Banning a card before we even get to play with it feels weird imo. I think that the Bandai banlist will apply for op07 forward probably (hopefully).

Whitebeard was legitimately Tier 0 til OP05 and now Black is good for half a format and all the potential bans are Saka cards (and Mom)? Really hating the community rn. Every color should have it's chance on top. The real "problem" in this game is that it's just too new. The cardpool is still shallow. In a few months none of these things will be problematic. Moria is too crazy though, definitely an OP10 card. It's WB Leader all over again.
Capone should be considered too. I know its a feels bad card but it is impossible to play around in comparison to a blocker or removal. #unbanboat #boatdidnothingwrong
As a Sakazuki player, my wishlist for bans and limits would be: Limit Holly to 2, the double 5k drop for Ohm and Holly is extremely oppressive and very annoying to deal with when they can run 4 of each, at least make the searching for Holly more viable not just always having them in hand. Ban Purple Magellan. If the opponent can ramp AND remove your don, and you dont have bottom deck removal, you're forced even further behind by KOing it or just deal with extra damage every turn. Once had a game where I was forced back into 3 DON and my opponent ramped to 10, how do you even play the game at that point?
Glad y’all are bringing attention to some of these cards. I’m probably the only person on earth who wants to play the Hody leader next set and let me tell ya, Saka matchup (really any black deck) is nearly impossible to win with cards like lucci, Rebecca, and Gecko. Honestly Lucci is the worst for me. Popping 2 of my characters is very detrimental to the strategy.
Not every leader is going to be meta viable though dude. That's an impossible ask for ANY card game. There's always going to be checks and best decks/best strategies. And not all decks will be able to compete no matter what...
Im not quite sure about the energy in this video, because it feels like an complete Saka bash. Im totally on your side with Moria, this card is busted and should be resticted/banned. But since start of op05, Sakazuki only won(everything) in europe and won nothing outside of it. Its almost even between the colors. 3wins blue/black 3wins yellow 3 wins purple. Yes its the most popular one, but has a terrible conversion rate. Its not that dominant like WB was. Anyone want to talk about how yellow gatekeeps like every deck despite Saka(still hardest MU for saka ), PLuffy and maybe Uta atm? If you get every card banned or restricted you were asking for, saka IS trash and doesnt have the power to keep up with other decks and its an easy yellow meta and noone wants that. id rather have the old man back than getting sacked by yellow every other game. Dont think its an unpopular opinion, to me the meta is diverse, gecko should be banned, big mom definitly needs a ban finally or leave it out of katakuri and then the meta will be still ok.
When looking at meta health you aren’t always looking at what won a major event you are looking at conversion rate and % of the meta. Saka is overtuned not looking to dismantle it just how to bring it in line with other tier 1 decks.
