Sole, do u remember the word “tuli o susū”? Was in our maulu’ulu written by the great Ose Apaisa: Tama oe, tama oe, faapa’o lou tino ma TULI O SUSU! That’s the song we performed after the knife dance. Speaking of which, remember when you got
clobbered by the knife from Les? I stopped the blood. You’re welcome and chee hoo!

Love this, Interesting. I just tuned in. Being that he grew up in Hawai'i learning and living Samoan Culture, does he still feel he's missing out of something not growing up in Samoa and being engulfed by the culture? Visiting Samoa, is there a feeling of being an outsider, or do you blend in and vibe like a local.

Talofa lava. Yes, I do still very much disconnected or as if something is missing since I was not born and raised in the motherland. However, when I do visit...I embrace as much as possible as a sense of great mana comes over me as I roam the lands that my ancestors worked tirelessly on. Visiting the motherland, THEY KNOW YOU'RE NOT FROM THERE, but it doesn't phase me. As I continue to do this work, I continue to learn also. Not just the language or dancing, but every day life, especially the little things. It's amazing and with God, anything is possible.
