Great to see a rection on Indra. I loved her in the 90's. This song is nice but her best song remains "Gimme What's Real" : you'll got nuts with the production on this one. "Temptation" and "Tell Me" are also nice like "Misery" but her best song is "Gimme What's Real"
Great memories from when I was 14 when I was in 7th Grade at college.🙂😊🥰😍🤩 I remember this song very well, it was constantly played on the radio, notably on NRJ (radio for teenagers very well known in France in the 80's) during the day (I even recorded it on cassette!) but also on Saturdays during the rankings of HITS DANCE (the Hit Des Clubs it seems to me) and also on SKYROCK which also had a ranking I believe the Top Dance Music from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. devoted exclusively to all the dance titles of the moment. As for the ultra CLIP broadcast at the time (1991) on M6 channel but also on CANAL + (in clear) during the ranking of singles in the TOP 50 and on Antenne 2 channel (future FRANCE 2) in the ranking of singles on NRJ radio broadcast simultaneously at the TV. She also participated, I believe, in the third issue of La Plus Grande Discothèque Du Monde (future Dance Machine from 1993) in November 1991 which brought together all the dance artists of the moment to come sing and dance for more than 3 hours at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy also broadcast simultaneously on FUN RADIO. Sympa de revoir ce gros succès d'Indra bien représentatif de l'ambiance "feel good" des 90's en France. Je trouve cependant que c'est son single qui a le moins bien vieilli, les passages ou elle fait du rap ne sont pas très mélodieux. Son single Temptation est mon préféré avec des sonorités au saxophone assez originales pour le genre eurodance et un vidéo clip à l'esthétique superbe !

Derek I have been following you for several months and I have the impression that you have never reacted to the songs of the French group Kyo. Incredible success in the 2000s in France and a little abroad. Look at their 2003 album with "Dernière Danse" / "Je Cours" / "Le Chemin". The whole album is exceptional and if it had been in English, a success like Coldplay, Muse or Linkin Park.
Just saw a 4 yr. old reaction of the Carpenter's "Goodbye to Love" you did and I didn't need to see any more. It hit me and thought I'd drop you a line in the present to tell you something. I'm not sure what career you've chosen but, IMO, if you don't consider what I'm going to tell you, you might miss your calling. Dude, you need to seriously seek some conducting classes if you haven't done so already. You were born to conduct an ensemble of some type. I can see that music moves you, it moves a lot of people. What makes you different than your average bear is that I think that you are capable of evoking that feeling in others and who better to do it with than actual musicians. I know a good conductor when I see one. You should give it some serious consideration. Get in front of a group of musicians and make some music. I'm just sayin'...
The pronunciation is probably due to the fact that english is not her mother tongue. She was famous in France, her French was good but with an accent, still. I guess it's the same with her english.
All the dance hits of the 90's were mostly repetitive. Dereck also mentioned it on a previous video but for him it's not embarrassing since at the time people danced more to the music than listening to the lyrics, the goal being fairly simple lyrics as much as possible and easy to remember for the public to party in niteclubs.

@@oliviermagnific4102 Vous avez raison concernant le titre répétitif. Pour promouvoir la chanson, l'accent était plus mis sur le visuel comme ce clip vidéo, à la radio et aussi dans les émissions TV comme beaucoup d'autres artistes de cette époque aussi bien des années 80 et 90...
