I love seeing ASMRtists using legitimate dental instruments, they make such nice sounds 🤩 so fun to be able to actually listen to the way things sound close up rather than when im trying to suck water out of someone's mouth 🤣
@@PhrogOfficial the best thing you can do is let your dentist know. It's hard because it's next to impossible to accommodate for this kind of thing with most treatment but there are some steps we try to take at our workplace. Generally we turn the music down or off, try not to use any water and in turn try not to use the suction (just because it's quite loud). We also have some stress balls, I'm not sure if they're helpful to lots of people who get sensory overload however they do help some, and most practices have these around so it's easy to ask for. Normally you're always welcome to pop your own earphones or earplugs in too. We definitely encourage things that keep you busy (fidget spinners, knitting, crochet, anything you can that you don't need to look at), but due to the fact that it's such a difficult thing to avoid in dental unfortunately these options don't always work. Always let your dentist know when you need a break too, they should be accommodating and understanding of this as it is very common! While I'm assisting for someone with sensory struggles or disabilities I just try to take these steps & try and be really still or really quiet to avoid any unnecessary noises/movements in a patients peripheral vision

tbh I do have quite a lot of nighmares of me lossing my teeth cause idk the gum kind of lose strength and they fall off and this shit don't help
