- In Hamilton, the Rotary Club of Dundas Valley will hold a free fireworks display at the Dundas Driving Park on Sunday evening.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. and feature an artisan market, live music and food trucks.
The park itself will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 7 a.m. Free parking will be offered onsite, although it will be limited. The public is encouraged to visit one of the many nearby municipal lots with free parking.
It’s unfortunate that the community groups that used to do the fireworks around the area no longer exist and the City didn’t or couldn’t do these local events. The city doesn’t sponsor any local events or want to support groups that performed these events. This is the reason why the city is in the shape it’s become.
Ancaster used to have their own fireworks before they were absorbed into Hamilton and doubled the taxes.
There was also a fireworks show down in Halton Hills alled "Boomfest"
I remember when most towns did fireworks in Victoria day. Now hardly any bother and it's become a meaningless day off. Another step in erasing the national identity
Wow! Used to enjoy the 69/70 version of the splashpad when I 1&1/2-2&1/2 years old and lived in one of the apt bldgs on"that" Wilson St (by White Rose cemetery). Spent the next half-century enjoying fireworks on the Mountain in Sam Lawrence park. This Eisenberger/Horwath/Marxist "Death-to-Bread-and-Circuses", "Bring on the 15min City Agenda" has completely decimated a sense of joy in Hamiltonians with regards to daily-liife in our city. That makes me immensely sad, and a bit angry. (I may have had a beer...or six.)
They will bite you while you pretend collecting boots, we all ssen that and i still hearing firewoks
Hamiltons a dump
