I've been using Vogoth since they added him into game (lucky pull) and it helped me progress in every aspect of the game. Those heals are truly amazing. I use him even against counter affinity cause it produces more heal. Strongly recommend to everyone.
I just started playing raid 3 weeks ago and got Vogoth from an ancient shard. He's on all of my teams. He allows me to punch way above where I should be able to with my crappy gear and nonexistent great hall.
I had been using him just for clan boss since I didn’t have enough Life steal sets.. but then I started pushing his accuracy to get provoke for dungeons and all of a sudden the tag Arena Defense team he was in started winning a lot.. I was like, what happened?? He really is amazing.
This champ never saw the inside of my vault. I pulled him a couple months ago, saw that HH's site listed him as 4.5, and I started dumping resources into him. But I've only used him in FWs, hadn't tried him in arena yet. I love that his masteries and stats priorities are the same for pvp and pve, all I gotta do is change some gear, I wanna build him for my arena DEF!
He is amazing for me in as an early player in CB. His leech is 100% up time and his debuff extension is just gravy, so not having to wear Life Steal helps a lot when gearing my champs. Currently 2 keying NM with him. You didn't mention it much but the leech is really huge for early progression takes a pile of pressure off gear and healers.
Vogoth is propably my favorite champion in the entire game. At least on paper. only started really using him during this doom tower rotation even though i pulled him around his release. big help on the eternal dragon.
I am surprised how many people in the comments valuted him, his kit is amazing. When I got him he was lvl 60, full ascended with masteries in 5 minutes. He is the best support for Doom tower.
I always loved Vogoth, I pulled him very early and I loved him ever since, used him really everywhere in the beginning, and even now where I pulled some good other champs, still the most versatile and frequently used champs I own
What if you mix Vogoth with a couple Ironclads that have passives that does AOE hits when they receive healing. Enemy team nukes you, then Vogoth heals your ironclads who then Nuke the enemy team.
would be interesting to see. keep in mind that ironclad's passive procs off of overheal tho so and ironclad is gonna have a ton of HP. If he doesnt get healed past 100% I dont think its gonna do anything on the big nuke. Once the provokes start kicking in it should start doing some work tho. Hmm what if we found a use for that +healing gear from the demons now with ironclad lol
in theory that wouldn'T work. Ironclad only does damage on OVER-heal. And Vogoth only heals 50% of the damage received. So when you team receives an AoE hit, no one should be healed above 100%, which means Ironclad wouldn't do any Attack at all..
I have to say, your review was on point. Just watched it again for the second time and picked up a point I missed the first time “he heals if he stays alive” so thanks for that! One point of disagreement “could help mid-gamers on nm clan boss”...I’m lvl100 small spender and he’s part of my full auto no-unkillable, no-counterattack, two key UNM team. So...as positive as you were, I still think you undersold him. Will also benefit immensely from the AI patch coming up.
Here's a thought: Imagine if that enemy team you showcased at the beginning ran frenzy gear on duchess? The synergy of vogoth with rotos is nice since people trying to nuke you down will use multi-hitters so that rotos doesnt cut in in which case duchess would take a slam, gain turn meter from the frenzy set, get healed by vogoth, then on the second (and subsequent third hit from ithos in this case) lose even more health in which case she'd gain even more turn meter.
But the passive says "whenever this Champion is Attacked" and the guardian set states "Wearer absorbs 10% of all damage dealt to ally Champions." The wording makes it sound like it would not work. Update: Tested out the Guardian set and it did NOT work. No healing occured when absorbing the 10% damage. Guardian set is a waste on Vogoth unfortunately.
@@seanmigneault4077 I have mine in Guardian set (and i don't have masteries yet, i just pulled him) and it's not healing from damage taken from guardian set but it's still quite good for him. It's always a 10% taken from nukers and nice 10% HP selfheal :) I will continue testing him in some other set aswell :)
Last night, I swear to God Almighty, I was looking thru' the index for UH champs to assist Frozen Banshee in faction wars. I came across Vogoth and studied his kit. My jaw dropped. Now, Senor Hades has confirmed that Vogoth really is one to go for!
I'm in the same position. I think giscard if you have a heal lack of speed gear and vogoth if you lack of heal and have enought speed to keep the wave control. If you are looking for a clan boss tank vogoth is way better (debuff extension and leech) (but giscard have the decrease attack)
Vogoth also scale on HP and you can set an shield to help more, 3 tap on A1 for the firenight ..... i'm more and more thinking to lvl him up instead of giscard ( for now)

As always great review, I now want to add him to my arsenal. With enemy max HP being nerfed we low spenders will need champs like him to go past level 20 dungeons. I seem to not get these great epics like him, uugo, rector, etc. Ill pull a crap ton of Missionaries and frostbringers though LOL
How can you prio a A1, A2 or A3 since when you use a skill book it does a random choice ?? I have problems keeping him alive, now im stacking all HP as possible and ACC too. Lets see what happens now.
I do a freeze set and off/def mastery tree for dungeons carries every place. Invest if you need a carry for new and mid game, end game area defense he can be used so you won't regret it.
Can someone please test whether this actually works, because the ability reads _Whenever this Champion is attacked_ heals all allies by 50% of the damage received.

I pulled him a little while ago and instantly 5 starred. Waiting for the fusion to end to 6 star him. He's a beast. Definitely not sleeper. I new he was amazing since the first time I saw him and so have many others lol.
You should have used ithos's a3 instead. The healing occurs after each damage instance. You can not kill a decent built vorgoth with a multi hit like that.

A few hours ago I put Skullcrusher, Vogoth, Rector Drax and Skytouched Shaman up against a team that also included Vogoth. I started them on auto and alt tab'd out to work on my schoolwork and forgot about the battle running in the background. Everyone died except the two Vogoths who have no been beating the crap out of each other for more than 2 hours. I want to stop the fight but I also want to see how long it takes for one of them to win. My Vogoth is hanging in there with max hp every turn. The other one is hanging right around 50% but neither is gaining or losing each round. Its so exciting!

Using Vogoth in my UNM clanboss team with Sepulcher, Rhazin, Valk and Brago. Needed someone with a leech so I put him in a toxic set and with his debuff extension he ends up doing about 10m damage. All while keeping my team alive for 40-50 turns. Be nice when we can disable his a2.
Im so happy i got this champion today. I was stuck on doom tower floor 7 and now with this champion helping my team im alrdy floor 19 and going strong.
Sounds counter productive but put a little defense as you can get away with and just stack hp sky high so he will take more damage to heal but still has that huge HP pool. The leech is just overkill. Love this guy
A great way to deal with vogoth is target him with trunda's A2. He dies and gives heals to the other champs (who are still full health) and then the remaining champs get wiped. I do really like vogoths kit though.

I want to see your opinion on Warchief having the same defense masteries. Maybe even an arena defense team with 3 Warchiefs and the same defense masteries you used here.
Update I DID eventually manage to get him on this times 10 event but he still needs to reach rank 5 or above before I can get him strong enough to do what I need him to do and help me beat Sorath along with my ghoulish Archer who still needs upgrades and my Drexthar farm which will not be ready in time for that Spider. I have killed Clan boss without realizing it before I even got him to rank 5 that is how hard he peels and is my second strongest current peeler only to my Rank 6 fully ascended Vergis on my first account.

The first time I went up against him I said "I need to build this guy". I'm actually able to run my defense as an offensive arena team against the speed meta teams because he can put out decent damage as well.

Hmm I thinkthat maybe Ironclad (rare orc) and Vogoth passives might work great together, maybe with Ironclad having mastery that boost healing received from defensive line and then things that boost his dam, havent testet precisely what helps with his dam output for his passive, only a little his attack stats does not effect his damage at all for his passive skill.

Vogoth is great!! As soon as I realized how good leech was, he nearly doubled my clan boss score and is super helpful as a carry almost anywhere
Another amazing UD Epic, because let's say Skinwalkers don't need that kind of Epic champs, he HAD to be Undead....

Started farming Griffin two weeks ago to forge Guardian for Vogoth, but still have to pull him.

In my F2P account, Vogoth was my biggest game changer since MM and was the reason I was able to clear Doom Tower levels and other end Dungeons.
I have him, was debating on using him for FW, this definitely pushes me in that direction. And then possibly for defensive arena

he's awesome, i use him as a stun target for my NM CB team, it was such a big difference to get out of lifesteal gear thanks to him !

I run vogoth in Clan Boss , with stag knight, longbeard, kreela and frozen banshee, all in relentless , and one key Nightmare regularly
