I am so sorry for everyone in Ukraine and Polish people will give everything for them not to be in this sad position. People all over the world were told that Poles are xenophobic, not-welcoming and sad people. I heard that many times in German, French or British television (My grandma was a German Jew, my grandpa was a French soldier and I have a family born and raised in UK so I watch a lot of foreign media). They said that we were exaggerating warning about Putin's Russia and nobody listened when we said that Nord Stream 2 is not a good idea. Countries located in Western Europe need to listen to the other narrative, not only their own and they need to respect other countries with different experience than theirs. The governments of those countries may be very ignorant when it comes to some issues and the general public is not informed enough. Politics of Germany, France and Britain towards Putin and Russian oligarchs was wrong and we all know it now. Their moral obligation is to help Ukrainians more than they do. Europe needs to stay united. It's no time to think only about the economy, we need to tackle the threat from the East and save millions of lives.

I did the same thing, i flew to Romania for 3 girls and 1 mother. Then we drove to Czech republic and the family stayed in our house for few days, now they are in my father pension ♥️ and ofcourse we found new schools and jobs for them.

I live in Poland in Rzeszów (the capital of the voivodeship bordering Ukraine) and the situation is really tough here. There are a lot of Ukrainian mothers with children in the city, when I go by bus or walk down the street, every second/third person speaks is from Ukraine. Today I was also at the playground with my younger brother and half of the children spoke Ukrainian, they even had epic caps with the Ukrainian flag. Also many new people came to my school, the biggest problem is the lack of knowledge of the language (I can't imagine that I would suddenly have to go to Germany and speak German). In addition, a lot of airplanes fly over the city now and military planes fly much lower than passenger planes, which is booming all the time, lol even as I am writing this, an airplane is flying. I hope the war ends soon...

Watching polish youtube channels I dread to see the amount of hate by polish people towards Ukrainians. I hope they can see that these people just need help... EDIT: there is a substantial amount of polish people who express hostility towards the idea of helping those people, and I condemn strictly these groups. Yet the number of people who help and provide aid is far larger than those who oppose, which makes me proud to be a polish citizen

the translations aren't always supposed to be literal. you can't judge the entire translation by just listening to the first sentence not being translated word for word. the messages were clear to understand and it's not like they were translated to the people's disadvantage

I live in Poland in Rzeszów (the capital of the voivodeship bordering Ukraine) and the situation is really tough here. There are a lot of Ukrainian mothers with children in the city, when I go by bus or walk down the street, every second/third person speaks is from Ukraine. Today I was also at the playground with my younger brother and half of the children spoke Ukrainian, they even had epic caps with the Ukrainian flag. Also many new people came to my school, the biggest problem is the lack of knowledge of the language (I can't imagine that I would suddenly have to go to Germany and speak German). In addition, a lot of airplanes fly over the city now and military planes fly much lower than passenger planes, which is booming all the time, lol even as I am writing this, an airplane is flying. I hope the war ends soon...
In my vilage alone 5 families took Ukrainians to their homes.

Those foreign nationals are already gone and back in their own countries. No need to do a news item on them. The refugees are the Ukrainians. Also, the foreigners we're only a few thousands whereas the Ukrainians are in the millions. Watching polish youtube channels I dread to see the amount of hate by polish people towards Ukrainians. I hope they can see that these people just need help...
EDIT: there is a substantial amount of polish people who express hostility towards the idea of helping those people, and I condemn strictly these groups.
Yet the number of people who help and provide aid is far larger than those who oppose, which makes me proud to be a polish citizen

However, as I watch videos taken by polish people who help the refugees, I also see the comments some people make under those videos, warning against economic consequences of helping Ukrainians or calling them "invaders". That is why I express my hope for those people to provide help, rather than hate
