I also own a Pasquali 988. I am having trouble finding out which one is number one cylinder. I am seeing conflicting results online. By chance do you know ? Thank you
Lombardini 914 is the 988 engine. The picture shows on the manual the #1 cylinder at top dead center. Cylinder closets to belt pulley. Hope this helps.

I’ll double check, but I believe #1 cylinder is closest to belt pulley.
