In Pro Tools, the reason you can't go back further when banking is because you have two other controller peripherals assigned. Pro Tools assumes you have those in order to have a 24 track physical control setup. If you get rid of the ones you don't use, you'll find you can navigate the whole width of tracks.
I like the layout and buttons on this controller. I had looked at previous icon controllers and was not impressed with the button layouts. This is by far the most flexible unit they have made to date.
Hello @j.martir I recently posted my video review of the P1-M where I do mention some issues I have. I am wondering are you having any certain issues with the P1-M?
Hey @mix-in, I have experimented some issues with the device. And for someone that uses multiple DAWs like myself, let me say there are a few bugs. Unfortunately I haven’t had time to make a video about it, but hopefully I’m able to sit down and give a run down on some of them. Also, I’ll check out your video and let you know if I’m also experiencing the same issues as yours.
I am running the controller with Ableton Live and Logic, which integrates well (integrates better with Ableton in my opinion). Haven’t used it with ProTools enough to say if there are issues. Hope this answers your question
I haven’t used it with Cubase, so I can’t provide you with some feedback. If I do in the future, will come back to this comment and let you know. And yes, there are some minor problems with Logic, and I think it has to do with how much controller accessibility the iMap software has access to with Apple software (Logic)
I just received this P1-M. It's great but I have a problem. I use it with logic pro x. (with Mac air M1 2020) the leds vu meters. They move well but when I press STOP!, the first two LEDs stay on and it bothers me a little. Do you know why that is? I saw a video of a Japanese man using the P1-M and it seemed like the same thing happened to him but it didn't bother him... 🤔
I haven’t really payed attention to that detail. Thanks for bringing it up. Now, I don’t have a solution for that but I will keep it in mind and if I encounter the problem with my controller and find a solution, will respond back to you. How does that sound?
@@j.martir it would be great. thank you. Does this happen to you too? Even when I close the project. the LEDs stay on. (only in the ones that had audio. and they ONLY return to zero, when I open another session.
Thank you for your video. I'm using logic pro and the P1-M with P1-X. The display order of the P1-M channels do not match the display on Logic Pro X mixer and arranger windows. Looks like the P1-M is show the channels in random order. I have UA-cam and Google this and unsuccessful finding a remedy. Is anyone else having this issue. Thank you
Hi there! Can you please help me? I have the p1-m but the problem must be the same... I can obviously move the faders from 8 to 8 but when I use the button just on the left it doesn't move them from 1 to 1 which is very annoying. it just goes from page 1 to 2 on PAN if that's what's selected...does anyone have the problem or have a solution in mind? thanks
So far, it does not do it with Logic Pro, Pro Tools, and Ableton Live. Can’t say with the other DAWs. I haven’t been able to update the device as well, so not sure if it can with new updates (if there are any).
Nice I got the G2 mixer for them last year it didn’t work out for my application however the build quality was solid and the customer support was great. 👍

Hi Christian, Thanks for the video. Great job!!! I have a question, I just got my P1-m a few days ago. I love it but I have an issue with the flip button. Once I hit it the fader and knobs function switch but when I hit it to switch them back nothing happens. Do you have this issue with your controller? I've been in contact with Icon support but no luck as yet. Any ideas? Thanks
Thanks for the feedback, and glad you liked the video. Unfortunately I have not experienced that issue with my controller and don’t have a solution. What DAW are you using? I know the controller has a different programing depending on the DAW you’re using.
Thanks for the reply. I am using reason 11 and Logic at this time. I had to return the unit and get another one. That 1st unit had issues. The new replacement unit works good. So far so good with logic pro x but with reason, the flip feature only flips the faders and knobs but does not revert and the transport loop function dos not work. I will let you know how it goes once I start to go hard with it. Thanks again for your reply and your great video!! @@j.martir

The purpose of the video is not to demonstrate how to use it, although I cover the controllers layout and software in the most basic form. But how it looks and reacts so that you, the audience, can get a closer look before deciding a purchase. Although thanks for the comment, I will keep that in mind.
Just ordered a presonus faderport (with 1 fader). No messing with banks, and tight integration with Studio One. Thank you for showing this Icon controller. Personally, I think it looks quite boring and is too expensive...

I used to have some issues when running the primary firmware but once the new update was available for apple m2 chips it’s been running really good.

Just remember it’s a digital controller so there are a few things that are finicky but I haven’t had a bad experience.

Is the touch screen physically separated to the 16 buttons by a divider?

Set mackie control to compatibility mode.
Does it bring through the colors onto the scribble strips yet? MCU doesn't support that, but maybe they invented a workaround.

Thanks for the first look. How do the buttons feel? Are they easy to press? The buttons on the P1 Nano looked pretty squishy.
They are indeed pretty squishy and not hard to press, in my opinion.
