- The dhol drummers beginn at the end of the street as they walk before the groom's car, announcing his arrival for the wedding. Everyone comes outside to watch and welcome him. Then they "bargaining" begins as all the girls on the bride's side start bartering for the best bride price. The groom pretends to be reluctant to hand over the money, but in the end all the girls get their reward!

The young man who was visibly emotional, is the bride's brother. He was upset because his sister was about to be Islamically married (have her Nikah), which would mean that for the very first time, she subsequently would be leaving home. This naturally means a lot for Muslim families, as they are all very closely united. Its very upsetting for all the family when a daughter/sister leaves home to go to live with her husband, which is usually in a room in the groom's family home.
