Thank you sir. Initially, I find it disappointing not to use the mic right away. It is because I still have to buy other accessories like the phantom power and extra xlr cable. But in terms of sound quality, this mic is really exceptional. I also use this mic during online class, meetings and streaming and those who were listening said that the sound is loud and clear compared when using a headset or headphone. Worth the investment. :)

Hi po..yes po wala po talaga syang indicator. You can check if it's working by trying it first po with Quick Time Player. Sa recorded output po ninyo malalaman if it's working kung narecord ang voice nyo. Then don't forget also to make sure naka-set up sya as the externam mic of the laptop. Di po kasi sya automatic na sineset up ng laptop. Gagawin nyo po sya manually.

Hello. I bought this microphone + sound card (Boya M1000 mic + Boya AM1 Soundcard) and connected it to MacBook Air 2020. When recording sound or video from the screen, my sound cuts out at different times. What do you think is the reason? Is it not due to the power pressure to the system? Hi yes po pwede pong walang soundcard. Pag may online class po ako di ako gumagamit ng soundcard. Malinaw po at maganda ang tunog ng boses, ito naman po ay feedback ng aking mga students. Namiminimize din po ang background noise. Kagandahan di ko po need gumamit ng malaking headset or earphones. Kahit malayo po sa mic malinaw at malakas pa rin ang boses. Need lng iset up yung mga controls sa mismong mic po.

@@paljenempire I haven’t tried connecting the mic to my dslr camera because I usually use my laptop’s built in camera for my presentarions. Maybe it would depend on the port that the camera has. Xlr to camera port will be needed if ever.

@@paljenempire Yes, you can work without the soundcard. Just don’t forget to set Boya Mic as your default mic once you use it with your laptop or desktop. You can use it with Audacity and QuicktimePlayer. For me, the latter gives better output in terms of voice recording. :)
Hi! Soundcard is optional. Phantom power is required for you to use it. If you already have the phantom power, you just need another cable which is xlr to 3.5mm audio jack for you to use it with your phone or laptop. In some laptops, it is not automatically set as default so don’t forget to set Boya Mic as your default mic for you to use it with your phone or laptop. :)
grayenriquez hi ma’am, I bought the Phantom Power 48V at Lazada. While the female xlr to 3.5mm audio jack was bought by my husband in an electronic shop. He had it customized because they don’t really sell that cable.

@@teacherricajimenezsofficia9743 It depends what phone model you are using. For iPhone users model like iPhone 7 and newer version you cannot use just microphone and phantom power (the same one you use), so in that case you still need a sound card or audio interface with built in phantom power.

It also doesn’t also come with a mic stand so it’s another thing to purchase separately. I got my mic from s.lazada.com.ph/s.Yjkxb. The mic is really heavy so it needs a sturdy and durable mic stand also. That one is a perfect fit. I also have the v8 soundcard but since I’m more into voice recording I prefer not to have too much wire on my table. So I bought another cable which is Boya BY BCA-70. What I like with the cable is it’s already phantom powered. The condenser mic and this cable are easy to set up when I do my lesson recording.

Hi mam, I have the same problem before. If your purpose is for recording with a cellphone, try first by recording any short sample video with your voice. Then check the recorded output if it has audio. If there is, that means that the microphone is detected. Otherwise, you may use QuickTime Player for video recording and manually select BOYA as your mic because it is not usually automatically detected. Mac sometimes make the internal mic and speaker as its default set up.
@@TeacherJhean I haven't tried po, Ma'am. In my case para mas madali po ang pag sync ko ng powerpoint at voice, save as images ko ang mga slides po then yung voice ay recorded sa QuickTime player. Then edit ko sa Filmora po. Di ko pa po natry ng direct sa PPT.

Sir napanood ko po. Yung sa set up ng mic, naka minimize po yung isa. Kaya possible na yun dahilan one bar lng pick up ng mic. Then yung mismong mic po may 3 klase syang settings. Check niyo rin po kung ano yung naka set up. Saka yung noise pick up. Akin po kasi lahat ng voice over videos ko dito Boya na po ang gamit. Malakas po pick up kapag Quick Time Player gamit. Then sa WonderShare Filmora po na-aadjust din ang volume ng mismong voice output.

If it’s only the mic alone, it won’t work. You need to have a phantom power 24v or 48v. Then another XLR female cable to 3.5mm audio jack. If you will use this mic in your cellphone only, you need an audio splitter for mic and headphone/earphone. The mic will serve as external mic for your cellphone. On the other hand, if you will use this with a laptop, you don’t need the audio splitters. You just need the phantom power 48v and sound card. Then you may follow the instruction in the video on how I set it up. The set up would definitely work for both mac and windows operating systems.

Thank you for your comment. This video was recorded using my cellphone. As you can see, I was demonstrating the set up so technically, I was not yet using the BOYA mic there. Most cellphones do not have any noise cancellation feature which probably explains why you could hear some noise in the video.

Hi, I haven't tried it with a mixer but it could be that your mixer is not compatible with your laptop.

Teacher yung phantom power ko walang kasamang audio jack. Did you by that separately too? Adapter lang kasama, XLR cable, and the phantom box itself.

How about singing smule? How to connect them?
You need a soundcard if you will use it with smule. But then, you also have to consider what phone you are using.

Thank you for your comment. This video was recorded using my cellphone. As you can see, I was demonstrating the set up so technically, I was not yet using the BOYA mic there. Most cellphones do not have any noise cancellation feature which probably explains why you could hear some noise in the video.
