Thanks for this video. It saved me a lot time. My Envoy was throwing 0P340 code. It would stall at a stop. The engine would reve high then stall. I figured it might have been my Variable Valve Solenoid. Sure enough my Solenoid was leaking oil into the connector. Like you. I thought it would be quick, but I had to remove the power steering pump.
@@mikecollins9869 No it didn't. I also ended changing my Cam Position sensor for the final fix. It really smooth out my Idle. It was a little of both. Still running smooth 4 months later. When I reset all the computer codes. It relearned on its own.
@@mikecollins9869 Yes I would. I didn't do it the first time, but the VVT Solenoid was bad. I could see the leak in the solenoid connection plug. So having to do it over. I would do both to save time. The sensor helped bring it back to normal idiot. Very smooth now. I didn't notice how ruff it had gotten. Let me add. My truck had 330k on the original parts.
I think i have the same problem. I cleaned throttle body, new ignition coils, new cam sensor but my VVT Solenoid has oil in the electrical connector. I have vibrations only at idle only in Drive or Reverse when sitting still. Thanks!
@@gnuttz5022 Hey thanks for quick response. I changed my camshaft and am going to change vvt selonoid as my wire harness has oil inside of it. Hope this gets the TB smooth as before.
Can not get the no one to seat past the o-ring. I even took it off, then it will go all the way in. Put the o-ring back, won't seat in. If tried everything short of beating the shit out of it. I'm lost

Did you have to do a relearn on the computer after you changed the part?

@@andreroy8141 thanks for the reply, so I should probably change the cam position censor as well

He called the pullys " Sprockets" 😄
Nice. Needed this video at this exact ment in time.
@macmezi2535 did it fix your issue?
Yes but I changed the camshaft position sensor also

nice. Changed mine with the serpentine belt.
Great video informative and straight to the point! Thanks! I subscribed!

Thanks for posting this. Excellent video

wow - universal socket trick. Nice
Does it have one or two solenoid I replaced it and the check engine light came back ,I took it to auto zone and they said I had a bad solenoid
Did you ever find out
I'm having trouble getting the vvt valve out, It's very close, any advice?
Did it fix your issues?
Darn good question
I changed mine and it said to take the power steering pump back 2 in
What does skip mean
Anyone know of a video for a 5.3 engine?
You put your hand right on the diagram for how the belt goes lol its right on top of the fan shroud.
Why you playing Around with the belt
So just 10 mm and 13 mm?
Does the envoyXL4x4 have one or two solenoids
1 it has 1 camshaft
Alldata....always seems to not tell me what I need to know 🤣 or we think "nah fuck that gotta be a quicker way" to find out engineers hate us

He said sprockets. Lmao.
You need to take this down. No harm meant but it makes you look bad
You had the newpart in your hand and said the pump didn't need to be moved 😮
You got a radiator coolant leak
Lol...belt diagram is right in front of you on the fan shroud...
Lol doesnt see the need on moving the pump🤣🤣
Lol your going to have to loosen that pump lmao
Pulleys and your hand is on he diagram
