Any idea how to prevent the "We hit a snag" error? Error shows that the new cloned record can't be saved due to duplicate company ID :( Appreciate any advice you might be able to offer. Thank you for making the button creation so easy!
Mike, The videos are super helpful. Thank you! Import of with Date/Time field to Salesforce from CSV file would be a great addition to the 'How to' videos you have been posting Shanthi P. Palani
@Mike : Is there any way that admin can change the "Created By" field...Currently in the admin profile permission the edit access not selectable(grayed out).?
That's a system-stamped type of field that I don't think is editable. I have heard of orgs moving legacy data into a new org and asking Salesforce support for assistance in getting the original dates and times populated into those fields, rather than current.
you can modify the Created By field only when creating records. admins can change the settings within setup under User Interface and by checking the 'Enable "Set Audit Fields upon Record Creation" and "Update Records with Inactive Owners" User Permissions' box.
Thanks for this! Any chance you have something similar but to clone the Account with related objects?
I enjoyed this lesson so much that I felt compelled to share it! Thank you very much!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for your video ..Any idea about clone all fields except some fields?
