Some corrections to the video. Bolt spells are essentially sniper shots. You have a much greater range to target. That's why you would have at least one on your spell bar. Numbing Cold and other PBAE nukes are useful when you are intending to mass kill swarms of mobs, and work best in conjunction with other casters that can spam PBAE nukes and stuns. Solo, it's not a great choice, regardless the damage to mana ratio. Early on, blast nukes will be your bread and butter, while bolt nukes are great pulling tools, as well as finishing off a running mob that you can't catch without a snare or SOW. And rain nukes (three waves of damage) are best used for xp groups, and only after you let the MT build sufficient aggro. Column nukes are AE nukes that center around your target, best for kiting. Do not buy the Al'Kabor line of spells, they are horrible in the damage to mana ratio. And when you get to higher levels, draughts are faster casting nukes, while lures have a resist modifier for that specific damage type. For example, Lure of Frost has a -300 resist modifier, so the target will have that number deducted from their Resist vs Cold stat. Some things all casters should be doing as soon as they hit level 2, is spam casting spells to raise casting skills. Nukes use Evocation, gates and ports use Alteration, summoning familiars uses Conjuration, the Shielding line of buffs uses Abjuration, and Invisibility uses Divination. From level 2 you can raise most of those skills. Conjuration, can't be raised until level 8 and you get Eye of Zomm. Use True North to raise Divination. Use any nuke to raise Evocation. Use your lowest level Shielding spell to raise Abjuration. And use Fade (level 3) for Alteration. It's best to raise this one in a safe place. Oh, and if you're going to be solo for much of your play time, learn to face tank. As a benefit, your Defense skill will increase, adding to your AC. You won't crumple so quickly down the road when you over nuke, and pull aggro from the tank. Speaking of, don't run around like a chicken with your head cut off if you do pull aggro. You'll make it harder for the MT to reestablish control of the mob, and quite possibly run too far out of range for heals to land on you.
Glad you enjoy it! I have a Cleric starting guide that will be released soon after it passes through the members only section. I think you'll like it because it has group play from the cleric perspective.

Invis is a nice spell to spend entire mana pool trying to cast, took me a long time to get the Divination skill up to a level where i did not fizzle 5 times in a row :)
@Willie Reber better, as soon as you level, spam cast it until you hit level cap. Once you get Invisibility, your fizzle rate will be super low. I was getting the feel for a new wizard last night, and sat and spam cast Eye of Zomm until I hit level cap. you think burning an entire mana pool and not landing Invisibility is bad, so is doing the same to summon a familiar.
Would you consider a short guide for the basics of how to play different classes? I'm not entirely sure how to play wizard, cause I am a Rogue and Enchanter main. I'm used to being fully capable of not worrying about anything as long as I have ammunition, or Mana. I'm starting a Wizard, and I've no idea how I'm supposed to play it in group. My instinct would probably be to just wait till tank has taunted 3 times, then blast the thing into the ground. I'm also a Paladin main on Aradune currently, but I've no idea how to really play a tank in general in this game, I just wanted to try something different. Noticed that I suck at acquiring aggro. Just thought it'd be nice to have a general guide on every class's group usage, as I've noticed a trend going on where if you do not by default already know exactly what you're supposed to do, people will expect it from you, and when you don't deliver to their liking, then you're out. Not much room for experimentation to find the ropes on your own sadly..
I will keep working on the guides and cover the wizard at higher levels. The Paladin might be harder since they have a hard time in classic, but I think I have a few ideas for that one :) Thanks for the request!
do you do solo guides? I haven't played regularly for so long, and it seems so much has changed.. Did they keep focus on groups? or can any class solo to max level now no problem?
On the TLP's like Aradune, you can solo some classes all the way to 50. The best solo class by far is the Necro because it can solo in dungeons and outside. Next are the Druid and wizard. I have a bunch of Enchanter guides in two of the tutorial playlists. Check them out and you'll see how the Enchanter can solo a lot of stuff :)
Necro if you want to solo way up on levels. Druid for the group invites and power-leveling services later on ..wizard if you like to be like "the new kid" in school and nobody wants to sit with ya until later on when you become cool !! Forgot to mention enchanters can solo well also inside and outside dungeons and they have free mana regen! It depends on the style of play and quality of life ya want!
Glad you enjoyed it! I will do some DPS videos comparing Nec/Wiz/Mnk to give you an idea of how fast they kill. At level 12, the Wizard can kill even level crocs in south Ro in about 3 shots of shock of lightning with no special gear!
I looked at what they did to the EQ2 maps. I love the developers but what the HELL were they thinking? They obviously wanted a different world, why not use a completely different world? To think these have any sort of link is honestly insulting.

I’m very happy with your enchanter and now wizard guide. Thank you for going more in-depth with your guides

CM99games how do I sign up for the members section? It’s not by the subscribe button like your community tab says

Thank you, I have been looking for something like this for close to a month now.
Enjoy! I have more that will be released in the future.

"When you're out there and you're dying all the time" Thanks for the confidence xD But I mean.. You're more than likely right

Nothing like having a Wizard in the group. Mobs down to 60%....then BOOM, almost dead. Love what a well played wizard brings to a group.
The BIG dps is very nice! I put one in my upcoming cleric guide and you can see the difference!
Yeah it was And extremely painful experience being a wizard I mostly had to solo either I was a bad wizard of people just didn’t see that
i wish you had a magician spell guide
do wizards get familiars as a pet? if yes, how to obtain one lol?
Much later on they get an AA that grants them a familiar.
How about a tutorial on doing spell research? That is not like it used to be back in 2000.
I will look into it.
Can't seem to find the Shock of Lightning spell.. I feel like I'm missing something like a whole spell vendor.
It might be a research only spell on a TLP, so you'll have to buy it from a player that is selling it. Are you on Aradune?
@@doctornachoz8099 I am and yeah, research, I like the spell list and I enjoy your videos too. Thanks for the reply!

Eye of zomm used to pull the mobs
Thanks watched the whole thing it was great. Looking to roll a Wizard on Aradune.
