You played and hopefully learned something while having some kind of enjoyment. A lot like normal life, just with faster up and down swings.
You guys who rip on Tom are donkeys that know nothing about Asian poker. Tom's been over in Asia playing for years and just to get him to go to games or play with rich Chinese, he can charge fees, negotiate rake and even have rich friends stake him. He's probably done that for years and probably gets discounts for coming to these filmed games as well. Tons of terrible players exist at high levels, especially in China where gambling is a serous cultural disease. So don't think because you saw an hour and a half of his play on short deck that you know jack shit about what is going on.

Who stakes dwan?
not a big fan of people being able to take chips off the table. short deck is much more interesting once you're deep. otherwise there are so many spots where you just have to shove. i'd rather watch them play lower but deeper. or make it pot limit.

He's the worst player at the table on this stream because he's tilting.
Live reads make it a fold against Robl, if you watch him carefully when he's tanking, he does a lot of reverse weakness tells / hollywooding and then jams all-in.
At the low stakes that's nuts 1000% of the time, it's possible that these nosebleed guys are on another level.
But if you watch how long he takes, it's usually to jam to hide your strength. Tom should have known, especially in short deck, during that situation.
On Pokerstars, the Jack of clubs would come and give robl a straight flush, dwan a full house, and badziakouski a royal flush

Tom looks weak and defeated, how does he expect to win any game with that mentality? Fortune obviously doesn't favor a defeated mind.
And I have no idea why Dwan might think it is a good idea to plays with these true gamblers. His style works best with real Poker players with a tight image, not with these millionaires pro poker players/gambers. Tom's bankroll definitely is not enough for him to handle the stress.

It is not about mentality, it is not football or fighting, it is poker, brain game. Tom knows his level thats why he is so catious.
Nguyen Tien what do you know about his bankroll? He plays with those guys beacuze its highest stakes in the world.. also he played with them for many years and long term deffinetly has edge over : wang, paul phua, KVOK, ST. Elton and xuan are probably beter but he is still making money

Ok, when I said session is whoooole session not some hands guys, and that's MY OPINION. Of course that AQ was very unlucky also KK x AQ. Yeah, he's losing but where is mindset? Calling with trips when flush complete on the turn on check/raise by Robl is a really tilting call. The explanation is he's losing too much? That's the explanation? A player of him level can't do it at all. That's why I'm really surprised how bad he's playing at this session. A lot of bad decisions. Watch all other parts and you see, doesn't seems Tom Dwan, but other player. lol

Hum for me it's not. In live poker you have the tell, play poker in real life is really different than online. You have to control your stress and emotion, if not good player can read you and beat you with this advantage. Nobody can play the same poker online and live. And when you play so much money, the mentality is not the same than online NL50.
Yup, these guys are amateurs compared to your NL50 online game. If only life wasn't so unfair so you and your NL50 friends can have the bankroll to steamroll these fishes. Maybe can you get a loan from Tom Dwan.

This game just doesn’t suit a player like Dwan who can put pressure on the regular high stakes games and use his style to bully people of the best hand, they just don’t care here too much money and no fear, an old school right Chris Ferguson type player would do well here
