    Greg, thanks a lot for the video. What brand and type of clay do you use?

    • @Greg-ceramics
      @Greg-ceramics  Рік тому +1

      It depends on the project, I use several. it depends if I'm looking for a particular rendering, or a technical particularity (mechanical resistance for example). At the moment I use the R&B brand a lot (a French clay)

      @@Greg-ceramics Thanks for the answer! That's why I'm asking, you hardly ever use pot holders during glaze firing. I even have small 20-40 cm bend and I have to use coasters, I observed the same thing with the Japanese. What temperature is your clay?

    • @Greg-ceramics
      @Greg-ceramics  Рік тому +1

      @@BonsaiPots.SIC. Yes, that's why I use different clays, for example for the large pots I use a very grogged sandstone, but less pleasant to work with. I tested a lot, and there is no ideal clay. they all have their qualities and their defects.
      And that's why I almost don't make big pots in colored clay (brown/red), clays that contain a lot of iron deform too much, and I haven't yet found the clay or the mixture that suits me.
