  • Migraines and fibromyalgia often co-occur, with many people experiencing both conditions simultaneously. Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, and sleep disturbances, while migraines are intense headaches that can cause throbbing pain, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. The overlap between the two is significant, as both involve nervous system dysregulation that heightens pain sensitivity. People with fibromyalgia are more likely to suffer from migraines, possibly due to shared triggers like stress, lack of sleep, and changes in weather. Managing both conditions often requires a holistic approach, including lifestyle adjustments, medication, and therapies to ease pain and improve quality of life.
