I don't know that I'd have the guts to whip a $3,000,000+ piece of history around a race track like that. Great video that does a good job capturing just how raw racing is in a V8 roadster.
thanx for the awesome video..most of us will never have the chance to drive or be in one of these pieces of history..such a privilege to drive one of these baby's..
Thanks! Took me back to my youth, racing in A Production in the 60s and 70s, first in a 427 Cobra, later an L-88 Corvette. Loved watching it get a little loose in some of the tighter turns, right on the edge. That us what the cars were built for! Too bad you can't feel the g forces in the curves and on acceleration.
it was crashed heavily in period at the Nurburgring and was rebuilt by Shelby in period. it was fully restored by Canepa, who generally does a good job
thanks for the expert advice you fucking idiot..thumbs out is for off-road four-wheel-driving in case you hit a rock or stump. have a look at any pro drivers....they're ALL thumbs in.
Regardless they had the Ferrari's whopped in 64. Until Ferrari got his way with FIA mid season and was allowed to run the mid engine 250LM cars. They didnt even meet class rules. Out right cheating is what saved Ferrari's ass in 64.

Keeping the cool down lap in the video was a nice touch - just out for a relaxing Sunday drive!
Nice camera angle. Thanks for not altering the car. Nice job.
Damn your sunshine! A beautiful drive in a wicked little cobra!
A wonderful example of a true British sports car from the golden age.
not original
This car has been restored (~10 years ago) but it is one of the 5 FIA Comp cars from 1964, thank you very much.
***** wut the car was destoyed

***** nice ac's I guess the cobra's had aerodynamic problems trying to go over 150 mph... so the cobra coupe was made,, just a few
Sounds wonderful!
Cool video, thanks for sharing....the 2323 was a great inspiration to scratch build my replica. Take a spin with Pete

Wonderful. Only thing is, we never hooked our thumbs like that. Good way to get them broken.
Absolutely right. Gotta keep em on the wheel.
If you got in an accident in an aluminum bodied car- you hVE bigger problem than broken thumbs-
thanks for the expert advice you fucking idiot..thumbs out is for off-road four-wheel-driving in case you hit a rock or stump. have a look at any pro drivers....they're ALL thumbs in.
Sweet !!!
Just getting it!
triple webbers?
+kram namwen Yep!
The reason why they made Viagra blue.
p.s no wonder all these historics have such low mileage - everyone disconnects the speedo cable.
+kram namwen True, and many race cars didn't have a mileage counter or a speedometer. This car was never a road car.
The car sounds great. Need to work on throttle controll and remember to keep your thumbs up on the steering wheel!
I wouldn't need a rearview mirror there wouldn't be anyone behind me.
vaughn in case you lap them
car that couldn't beat Ferrari at 150 mph it stopped .. no aerodynamics so the boys designed the coupe cobra and killed ferrari
