Epic Motors on Schindler Hydraulic Elevators at Minneapolis Airport

- (7-1-2015) The doors have been replaced on these elevators and one bank got innovation bruiser. These are 1996 Schindlers with EPIC motors. Also if you watch my older video you will see that they replaced the doors on the elevators as there is now only 2 panes of glass as opposed to 4.

The motors sound so amazing!
I'm really happy that this place is photography friendly. I've been here once but only filmed one elevator by the light rail train. I must go back here again since they have very many nice glass elevators like these scattered about. Interesting that they modernized one bank here but not the other. Perhaps the older bank will be next?
Sadly, these elevators have since been removed and replaced. Which is shocking to me since these received upgrades not that long ago.
These 2 banks have since been completely been ripped out and replaced by new Schindlers. There is now 6 of them and they have some very interesting Innovation buttons and custom lanterns.
Are the motors still epic?

Hey, dieselducy. Next time you do go to Minneapolis, you should go to Concourse C and film their elevator bank of 2 there. Those have awesome motor sounds too. It's near the tram station for Concourse A and B. I think it's in between gate C28 and A1, but I'm not 100% sure.
I dont know if you can edit the spelling error in the title "Hydrauilc" should be "Hydraulic "
It has a nice Supernova motor, but I heard it quite some time ago and the motor peaked at E flat instead and was much slower.
Those are hydraulic pump motors that feed a hydraulic cylinder that provides the lift for the car

Was the high pitched beep that sounded when you were asking the other people if they were going up the elevator going into nudge mode? If so, the timer needs adjusted.
It was the backup alarm on that vehicle.

Don't use the "Improve this video" option. My, how it screams distortion and lurchiness.
I used the image stabilization In final cut for the walking part. it looks alot better than the camera bouncing all over the place. the point and shoots have terrible image stabilization

+DieselDucy have you considered using a camera stabilizer? Might do tons to improve your video quality.

The motor Sounds very simillar to Somerset Collection north’s main elevators, too bad these Schindler’s got modded, I wonder why.
How old were they?
The Schindler’s you filmed got modded back sometime in 2018, Somerset Collection’s
elevators are from 1996 and are still original, I have a video of the elevators at Somerset if you want to see them.
I’ll try to check them out.
