Beth didn't withhold the news of her infertility from Rip in order to protect Jamie. She did it to protect herself. She didn't tell Rip she was pregnant when she found our, and he wasn't a part of her decision to get an abortion. My guess is that she was afraid that if she had told him, he would have wanted to keep the baby, and would have gone and told John about the entire situation, unleashing god knows what sorts of hell on them both. So she kept the news from him and made the decision on her own, and by the time she realized how huge a mistake she had made, she felt it was too late to tell Rip about it. Not only would he very probably have been furious with her for depriving him of his child, he would have killed Jaime for depriving him of ALL of their children together.

I don’t think it would be fair to Jamie’s son. She would hold that fact against the child and probably let him know that.
We don't need a spinoff show tbh. The show ended well and it needs to stay that way.
