yeah the game is a mess, what gets me is why all the fan boys can't explain why cs go had to die for this mess. Even if you like it, there is no reason for the deletion of a working game.
@BAGG8BAGG it was a business move by valve. If you remember when they released CSGO, a large chunk of the player base stayed on CSS, and again when CSS released, a lot of people stayed playing CS1.6. It happens every time. They wanted to keep everyone playing the same game, so they tried a new strategy. That is the reason. It might not be a good one, and you definitely don't have to like it, but that is why.

Turning off the old game essentially deletes progress, mods and players, you are deleting a large part of the incentive to play. Also the people who can't play the latest version are now no longer in your market and able to spend money on the game etc. The reason I can't play the game is bugs with input (mouse issues) and secondly the sound is horrible, feels like I need to pop my ears. CSGO, whilst far from perfect had no issues on my pc and felt very playable and accurate.

Jumping as a whole is off in cs2. Try setting +jump to an alias command in autoexec and it becomes much more consistent. i was hitting like 20-30% of venthops after and before it was 1 in 20
The file path for cs2 cfg files is inside SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\csgo\cfg create a text file named autoexec and set the file extension to .cfg inside it put the following alias "+newjump" "+jump" alias "-newjump" "-jump" bind "mwheeldown" "+newjump;-newjump" bind "mwheelup" "+newjump;-newjump"
they just fixed it (there is still a workaround, you need to bind the +jump;-jump in a different conifg and then bind the config itself to mwheeldown or whatever key you use)
there is a weird thing in this game where jumps are inconsistent unless you have an alias bind for jump. alias "+myjump" "+jump" alias "-myjump" "-jump" bind [key] "+myjump" without this bind, it makes vent hops really hard to hit so put this in your config or whatever
I think the venthop is harder because of subtick. Despite being technically 64 tick it feels more like 128. Which is straight up harder to hit hops on. I know people say it’s the same but it’s not. 64 is much more consistent with hitting the actual hop. Sometimes on 64 you just don’t jump. probably just all Becuase you have twice the time to hit a hop Becuase it’s 2x slower than 128. I can’t hit many hops either 😂 I miss hitting 5 hops in a row a few times a game.
In my opinion 128 tick is alot easier to bhop on, I once hit like 12 bhops and got banned by AC, but got resolved obviously cuz I was innocent. However i've only hit like 5-7 on MM. So there clearly is a difference. I have hit 8-15 hops a few times.

exactly, my game in csgo was just about movement and ferrari peeking, its impossible in cs2 now so you can imagine how frustrated i am..
