I used the scissors/lighter method for years until I finally bought a production hot cutter from you in 2013. It was one of the best tool purchases I've ever made.

Because they sell webbing by the foot for the same price as other sites sell by the yard. So lovable!

Question: what glue should I use to bond a magnet to a nylon strap?

If you need webbing of any kind or color, strapworks is the best. I order my bag making supplies here and the staff is always super helpful. Plus i like them because i am thrifty and their prices are low.

Thank you so much! I needed to resize a nylon web dog collar, and I found you. I used the scissors and lighter method and it worked perfectly. 😊❤❤

Option two here, I also unravel cutoff OD green ends and throw the 'Moss' into my scrag bag, great camo addition and you get loads from even a small length of tape. 👍
You need to wash it to lose the shine though.

Well... my question is about DOT straps used for anchoring the basket of a telescopic boom lift down to a flat bed trailer.
It ONLY takes 10 feet of strap to secure, but leaves like 20 feet of extra to repeatedly wrap up and secure for the drive...
Does the hot metal blade method still work?
Or should I clamp the end down only exposing like 3mm of cut web, and torch that flat??

Quick question. If I need to feed one end of a strap through a buckle constantly, is it best to cut the webbing at an angle or straight across before sealing the edge?

Hi I make dog leashes with webbing for working dogs, i currently use nylon but i find the nylon is to smooth with no grip yet the edges are to sharp on the hands when held tight. What do you recommend as an alternative material? Thanks

Try cutting at a slight angle,it’s then easier to thread the strap through the ratchet.

I use a drill bit and then burn off the excess material with a lighter. Holds up great.

I've used that lighter method, and my strap just instantly shrivels. Does not work 100%.

Nobody should be breathing that toxic smoke, especially repeatedly. Use the correct type of respirator face mask in a well-ventilated area, please.
