I have had many 442 Oldsmobiles in my lifetime but always wanted a 66. This is the most optioned car I have ever seen. Its spectacular.

I had a '67 2-door Cutlass Supreme with a 400 engine, 4 bbl, AC, front buckets. The body and interior were basically identical to this model (except automatic on the column). I loved that car - my first-ever car purchase. It had 52000 original miles bought in 1979 for $750.

My first car was. ‘65 442. Traded it for a ‘68. The gas crunch of the 1970’s made me trade for a Toyota.
In my mid life crises years I bought 2 1966’s to restore. One a 4 speed hardtop and the other a 4 speed tri power convertible. Times got rough and I had to sell both before I ever finished them.
Of all the cars I’ve owned the tri power convertible is the one I regret ever getting rid of.
    Love your video.

I remember when these cars came out, it was never one of my favorites. In 66' I was more into Chevies and Fords though still not of driving age. I didn't take notice of the 442 until the 68' with the new body style.

My dad had a ‘67 442. It was his favorite car he owned. He compared all cars to it!

    Love it. I have a 67 442. Only thing
Gets my goat is the mufflers. My 442 cruises quiet. Even on throttle it's not loud. Gentlemens hot rod.

I was restoring a “66” about 8 years ago. Red like this one, 4 speed, but not near the options you have, except I added tilt steering to mine. Very nice.

I totally agree, Out of the 4 GM divisions, the Olds and specially the 442 was smoother driving, rode better and handled better....I had a 64 SS and a 65 442 and it was like night and day....

Whether it’s the fastest or just plain fast the Pontiac Olds and Buick looked better felt better ( not as plasticity) more insulated and just was more deluxe than many others of the era.
