Kapalbhati is done in the following way: Forcefully pulling the belly in and exhaling simultaneously and when we relax the abdomen, air is sucked in automatically. When we pull the belly in , the diaphragm is pushed upwards, forcing the carbon dioxide out of the lungs. When we relax the abdomen, the diaphragm sinks down, creating a vacuum in our lungs and oxygen is sucked in automatically. This is a cleansing kriya more than a pranayama and needs practice and should be done under supervision of a teacher, atleast until you are doing it correctly. If done incorrectly, it can result in feeling nausea and headache. If you are feeling stress in your eyes, it is possible that you are exerting more than required. Sometimes people do this kriya very forcefully, thereby causing stress in eyes, headaches or pain in the ribs.
Can you please suggest me about timing to do Kapalbhati. 1.How many minutes we should practice in a day. 2.when to practice on empty stomach or ... 3.Is there any chances of gaining weight when we stop to do yoga.
Please clarify my one doubt regarding kapalbhati In kapabhati we are only pulling our stomach in or we are just expelling air out and stomach will move of its own? I am doing this kapabhati from some time , but i feel some stress in my eyes and i donot feel good after doing it

Thanks for your valuable reply :):) But i am really confused, As everyone tells me different method for kapalbhati. According to baba Ramdev, we just throw air out and our stomach will move of its own, According to you we have to pull our stomach deliberately along with throwing air out. So i had stopped practicing it, and will start only once i get one perfect yoga teacher with in depth knowledge like you all then only i will start. But really thanks for your reply.:):) God bless
