Lyrics:
Like a piece of the air, it's just how you feel
Are you really there? Are you even real?
I don't know which way to go, when I hear you everywhere
There's a melody in every line, and a sorrow in these eyes of mine
if a diamond hangs in every tree and a life is lost for every leaf, can a bird still sing?
I listened just this morning this is what I heard
An angel's wings in cool night air, like a blackbird in the chapel
A starling in the moonlight fair, wings beating up a gale
In the morning, in the morning
In the morning, ooh in the morning
You're a part of the air, & you shake a whole field
With your golden hair, & your golden shield
I don't know which way to go, when I hear you everywhere
There's a melody in every line, and a sorrow in these eyes of mine
If a diamond hangs in every tree and a life is lost for every leaf, can a bird still sing?
And I listened just this morning this is what I heard
An angel's wings in cool night air, like a blackbird in the hill
Night bird singing at sunlight, wings beating up a gale
In the morning, in the morning
In the morning, ooh in the morning
Like a piece of the air, it's just how you feel
Just hovering there, are you even real?
I don't know which way to go, when I hear you everywhere
There's a melody in every line, and a sorrow in these eyes of mine
If a diamond hangs in every tree and a life is lost for every leaf, can a bird still sing?
And i listened just this morning this is what I heard
An angel's wings in cool night air, like a blackbird in the hail
Starlings in the moonlight fair, wings beating up a gale
Legless owl in endless flight, unable for to settle
In oceans like a giants mind, harbouring its mettle
In the morning, in the morning
In the morning, ooh in the morning
This boy with a guitar is the business. There's nothing he can't do and I am so glad he was back with Blur lat year. His solo albums since 04 have all been excellent. I used to wonder who was my favourite out of coxon and john squire because i love both their styles, but after hearing this album it's Definately Graham by a mile.
I'm still in bed, drinking coffee, while outside spring seems to be arrived.
And this song is just perfect.
This is how i manage to get out of bed in the morning.
Jesus, he's an amazing artist.....
guitar picking and the mellow style reminds me a little bit of Paul Simon.
Love it!
yes, very beautiful and happy :-)
reminds me also on Nike Drake ...
Makes me wanna go and lay in a field and get high in the sunshine...
Great song. No need to compare this with anything else though. When I hear this I hear graham not the beatles or anyone else. Just cuz he has one line that included blackbird doesnt mean the songs are similar. This one is far more complicated and folky
Am I the only one who think this sound a bit like The Beatles' Blackbird??
Yes!, sounds like the sequel to Blackbird
harder to play
"like a blackbird in the chapel"
I find some reminiscences from Mother Nature'son. Probably he admires Paul McCartney as much as so many others (me included)
OMG!its...wonderful
The sensitive sound of the guitar of Graham...genius...Thank you very much Nina!!!(;
Graham.. its morming time and im high as fuck on fetty. Great track mate lol
"Embryonic Journey" anyone?
Its a bit like graham coxon meets steve hackett through the beatles
This is the most beautiful song I've heard for ages. The spinning top is outstanding.
Graham mi amor platonico
Thanks, Graham for a musically bright and cheery Good Morning!
He definitely has the same muse as Nick Drake and Syd Barrett and The Spinning Top proves that particularly this beautiful song. Fab video too really does the song justice.
Well Love the song and the video even though its a huge Coxon-teaseeeee lol...just small glimpses of him in the woods ..still very nice though
nice one :)
This nice song is a like blacbird.(The Beatles)
your laugh sounds good!
Dear Graham Coxon ,and your beatiful children.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night! So White Album influenced, but lovely still.

Make it two, I liked it, a perfet good morning to begin February wih
that big fat double bass at the start is so big and fat and lovely

GET A GRIP.
