So do not adjust mixture during a climb from say 0 to 8,000 feet since not level flight? Not sure that is right. We will lose power during the higher portion of the climb
@@phan5302 you'd probably best of riching the mixture if you're descending for landing as you're really risking carb ice building up with low power (for the descent). one of the prelanding checks it to check mixture is rich (atleast for cessnas)

only lean the mixture during cruise, use full rich during climb/take-off
