Try solving 6-8 VA in initial 8-10 minutes and then go for RCs. I suggest you try it for 3 sections. It will help to gain focus and confidence. Do reply about whether this works for you or not.
I tried it during the initial stage of my prep and it backfired as i took way more time in va and rc suffered also not gonna change anything rn coz why fix something which is not broken
I dont why i was so rigid with answering all the question of the rc i had read. I think skipping difficult rc questions will not only inc questions attempted but also my accuracy. Thanks for the strategy. Will definitely try it today! 🙂
Same for me as well and while attempting I do feel this is the correct option and end up getting minus, idk why but even if I'm feeling confused I end up answering the question 😢
I tried this strategy in today's mock and leaving questions of a RC i had read was actually conflicting. I kept think that just a few more seconds and it'll strike. Anyway its one of the best strategy and increased my accuracy by at least 20%. Thanks Frazer.
@@pratikpharande7533 these are not the only two ways. focus all your energy on understanding the RC. Everything else will waste your time. If you have understood the RC well, the need for you to go and read it again will go down (aka less regression). Writing summaries and memorizing is not necessary and is wasting your time, just focus on noticing the tone of RC, what the author's view about the topic is, whether any contrasting points have been mentioned etc while you're reading and your attempts and accuracy both will go up. RAW COMPREHENSION is the only thing you need. Hope this helps!
To be very honest, this is what I was thinking this morning after watching Gego sir's video: that I should start leaving questions in RC that are taking more than 1:30 min. This way, I can do each RC in around 8 mins, and after doing 3 RCs, I will still have 16 mins to do all of verbal, and then maybe I can come back to the remaining RC questions as well. Doing all 4 RCs is something I never recommend to anyone, though.
Bro can you tell me that i am targeting cat 2025 but my varc section is not good at all and i m lacking in rc so what should i do my question is that should i learn vocabulary for cat rc or focusing on more reading and solve more rcs ..
Well i know know why my scores in varc vary its the ego that is the issue , well i gave simcat 18 and i got only 12 in varc as i was quite disheartened but now seeing your video i know that skipping would help and i guess it helped as i gave simcat 103 which i skipped and got 35 marks which is around 99.87 percentile in varc , thanks man hope to see you ace cat , hope to meet you in iim if god wills
Hi bro. Could you please let us know how you solve the RC's using Gejo sir's techniques please? That would be helpful. Even I have learnt it but not able to apply..
on top of this if you have left 1 RC.... there will always be a question will be a paragraph based or a opinion in a sentence of the paragraph... that too can be answered spending 1 min max..
I try to follow the same strategy but sometimes after reading a rc i find a 2 to 3 questions difficult, then it becomes difficult for me to leave the 3 questions because i think itna time diya hun to i should solve it, solving just 1 question from feels very bad, please tell me what should i do
it will help in the long run bhai ye you will put 6-7 min in this RC and by that you can maybe see all the 4 rc and maybe if you are getting confused in 2-3 Q then your comprehension is a problem
my take on it is very controversial as i never find it helpful in varc but might help someone who has never read anything and help him make a habit of reading, also i have not read aeon but i do read a lot of diverse topics
Bro I am able to attempt to 8-9 questions only in 40 minutes but out of which I am able to solve 5-6 questions right so how to attempt more. Stuck between the cyclone of attempt and accuracy in varc any suggestions??
I sticked religiously to this strategy and scored 99 percentile in IMS mock. Thanks for the reminder

Do you paraphrase paragraphs in rough notes or just memorise the keypoints?
none

same to you mere bhai
applied this strategy by following strict time dedicated per RC , scored highest as per my score till date varc 21 😄

Its means that either your comprehension is super weak or the RC is too complex
Brother, i gave VARC 10 sectional mocks of IMS the max i scored was 21 bit when i gave CAT 2023 S1 VARC section i got 33 marks 🤷
i am not at all surprised as the level of diff in mocks are always higher than cat

i think have mentioned it clearly in the video

you have your answer
I attempt whole VA section but do 3 RC with attempting 10 question, due to time constraint I'm able solve 2 question of 3rd RC
you are doing great if your accuracyis good
