Christina, this is the first song I ever heard you sing. I'm considered "old", I'll be 57 this year 2015. I was browsing through You Tube one night and came across this song, called Grenade? I thought, what in the world would a song with that title be about. So I listened. Couldn't believe my ears as you sang. Just beautiful and so vey unique! I was hooked! Kept watching and listening to all your covers. You were spectacular! I wondered why in the world you were not a star. But another thing I noticed.....you were humble. You claimed your Christianity and that drew me even closer to you for I humbly am one also. I watched you as you became more and more popular. I was excited and happy for you. You were on your way to the top. Singing and playing the piano....another thing I might add, you really impress me the way you play and can pick up on a song to play so quickly and easily it seemed. But anyway, as you were climbing in popularity, I was happy for you to one day make a living at something you enjoy. I was also worried that the wolves would get you, so to speak. You've grown so much. I still pray for you. I see how much you enjoy your talent. Me, I just sing and play the guitar in church. But I'm not ashamed of that. It's my calling. I don't have that drive you have to sing in front of large audiences and to become popular. You've got it. Just be careful. I watched and voted for you on The Voice. I was so excited for you. You were amazing! A word you use a lot! ha ha. I was disappointed when you didn't win first place, but then I heard Adam had signed you to his label and I was thrilled. Sorta. But what ever happened to that deal? I never heard anymore about it or just missed it. I was away from You Tube for a while. My mother passed away from alzhiemers (I didn't spell that right.), and a lot of things were going on. But one night at the nursing home while sitting with my mom late one night, I had you playing and singing on my phone Titanium. I didn't know it was that loud and my mom spoke! She said, You gotta play that so loud! I smiled and told her I was sorry. But it was nice to hear her in the real world for that moment. I don't know how I got off on all this subject about my mom. I love you and your mom and your whole family and friends. I love to see interviews from them and would like to see more from them and your close friends too. You're the best kiddo :) Be careful out there in the entertainment business. Keep writing. You're a good writer about positive and important things. Kids need that. Write some more for us "older people" too. Take good care of yourself and don't forget about our Savior. I wish and pray the best for you. You'll always be a star in my book! This was 4 years ago, she was a teenager. Do you have any idea how much emotional and mental maturity you go through? You need to look at reality a little closer. I do not mean to be rude, you just do not see things the best you could.
This was one of my first videos of seeing her. I forgot about her for a few years until now. I wish I didn't have to rediscover her this way. This might be cliche, but "All life is precious." Rest in peace.

Steven Garcia She was shot during a meet and greet at her concert. It was all over the news almost a year ago now. June 2016.
I cried while watching this. she was a talented, sweet, down to earth, young woman. I don't understand why someone would target someone like her...she's never done ANYTHING to deserve it. all she did was inspire and give hope to others. I'd never met her but from everything I'm hearing from her friends and the fans she had a personal connection with, she was a diamond. she never got the chance to be as successful as she did just because she wouldn't obey what record labels said. rest in peace, Christina.

When I was younger I always wanted to be like you and be able to sing like you. You were so nice, funny and genuine and I admired you so much! When you think of all the things she had to live for... It refreshes your mind to remember that she was a human being and still had a life to live in, a family to love, and music she would've loved to cover. When someone so ruthlessly kills a young woman with a whole life laid out for her, you see how bad this world really is. Why would any selfish person take a life so innocent and pure? Christina didn't deserve to be killed. I just wish that someone had known and stopped the bullet and gotten the dude arrested. Instead, we have one of the greatest people dead. It's heartbreaking. In a way... I'm happy that she didn't have to see all of the defaults and horrible things going on in the very wrong world nowadays. It would kill her like it killed my mom. No one deserves being murdered, even if the person's reason was justified. People now are murderers, idiots, completely wrong and liars and they don't deserve to be in this world with amazing people like Christina. Those are the people who need to be arrested and/or murdered instead of innocents. It hurts me to even consider the type of people that would do this.
