      @BeneIsrael Рік тому +11

      Sorry but a NICU is Not one of the hardest nursing job but is the easiest of all the jobs that a Hospital Nurse can have. They have the lowest turnover of all Hospital nursing positions. NICU nurses are usually isolated from other hospital staff workers and have only 1 or 2 babies to care for and rocking chairs to sit in. Futhermore; the innocent and fragile new born babies they're caring for make no demands and can't do no any more than what that NICU nurse do for them.
      As a matter of facts, the hardest of all nursing jobs is that of the Medical\Surgical Floor Nurse who is constantly running back and forth on their feet 8 to 12 hrs a day, standing, liftiing, bending, dealing with demanding patients, family members, doctors, co-workers from many different cultures, ages, social economic background and different & difficult personalities of all kind. Your NICU nurse Mom had it easy like a Sunday morning.

    I am retired, after caring for infants and children for nearly 40 years as a specialized nanny who cared for newborn preemies (twins and triplets), a preschool teacher for children with special needs, and for children who were abused. I had hoped to volunteer at my local hospital in the maternity ward, where I could hold fussy babies and rock them. I was told you have to volunteer for a year at a hospital (not in the maternity area) before you can be allowed to volunteer in the maternity ward. A year! That nurse should not be just fired. She should be arrested, charged with child abuse, and permanently lose her nursing license!!!
    24 hour video cameras need to be in every maternity ward. No exceptions!!

      Sorry it's so involved to hold babies, but maybe it's because they are wary. I wanted to do that, but none of the hospitals here have that program. 😢🙏🕊

It bothered me so bad after a few minutes I had to stick my fingers in my ears just to keep from getting physically sick. The doctor asked what was the problem and when I told him he asked well imagine how we feel everyday. I said I did having just contemplated that thought. But I would imagine they must be able to block it out to a certain extent or go crazy! Kinda like before I was a parent I hated listening to a baby cry but now doesn't bother me nearly as much. For those who don't know why babies would get "vaccines" at birth-- usually the first thing they get is a vitamin K shot. It's not a vaccine. A few parents still decline it, then are pretty distraught when their baby dies before 6 months from a brain or intestinal bleed, since all babies are deficient in vitamin k. The other one is the hep b vaccine. Not sure why this is one of the first, other than the fact that hep b is easily passed from mother to infant.

    That nurse would have gotten it from me in the worst way & then I’d call the cops myself! She literally assaulted that poor helpless baby!

    I don’t understand anyone that is ok with harming someone so helpless, baby or adult. It’s very sad, that’s heavy to watch. Glad he’s doing well, glad the father was there as well. Next thing we know, could be trauma and no one would know why.

    When my son was first born something clicked inside of me. I have truly never felt up until that moment a protective urge like I did when I first saw him. Good on the father for handling it responsibly. I can’t say I would’ve done the same in that situation.

    That’s absolutely awful. This nurse is abusive and has probably injured other babies too. How could someone do this?! To an innocent baby?!!! She needs to rot

    I'm so happy you were able to catch this. I do also think you should file assault charges against the person even though they have been fired. A nurse is supposed to care and protect. I was slammed into the corner of a cabinet at birth by a nurse apparently and have a lesion on a vascular vein in one temple which caused severe migraines into my thirties.

      Great advice! Who knows what consequences that baby can suffer from this trauma throughout his life. ( Hopefully none God willing) but because of stories like yours, that nurse should be punished or sued for potential injuries she may have inflicted. Possibly for the rest of that babies life. Physical and mental. I know you don't remember what happened to you, but I'm truly sorry that it did. I hope your migraines are better💜

    Oh my goodness! This is absolutely appalling. How disgusting, to witness such a demonic behavior for a newborn child being slammed by a nurse????? What’s wrong with these people? Shame on them!!! You should not come near a child st all.
