Create unique labels from one of a kind Master Boards.

- Lately there have been a lot of crafters sharing how they use label stamps to create their own unique labels for their projects, I also create my own labels for my journals and ephemera.
Maybe how I create my labels is slightly different or maybe someone is already doing this process but I thought I'd like to share my method with you as there's always someone out there seeing it for the first time.
The collaboration was with Jessica Rapp from two silver oranges.
After filming I discovered there was a clear backing on the back of the signet stamps that I’d not removed, they’re now sticky backed so work on my acrylic blocks. No need for the glue stick.
Have fun guys and girls and happy label masterboard making.

Ceri...you have created a monster! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea. I completely finished up my first one yesterday. I've done another background and have 2 more in process right now.❤❤❤
Wonderful, pleased you’re enjoying it.
Your creativity is amazing, Ceri. You inspire me.
Hello, thank You for sharing how You make a master board. Your work is beautiful and You explain every step well. Thanks again.
You are so welcome Cathy.
Ceri that is stunning
Thank you
Fantastic, I guess I do these stamps after watching this video.
Wonderful
That was fun
Thank you Dawn
Awesome video
Hi Ceri, could it be Jessica Rapp two silver oranges?? Hugs Gill, West Yorkshire xx
Hi Gill, yes it was
I don't know much, but I've actually recently heard of a lady with two type dog's in her title 🤔
I cannot tell you how much I am enjoying your videos. I’m stuck in bed with a back thing. I have been binge watching your videos. I was just getting started on vintage journaling. I have collected so many things to start. I’m so picky that I was having trouble finding ephemera that I loved. While I collected things I was finding ways to store them so I can find them. I went down a rabbit hole making holders for things. Knowing that I can make my own labels and keep the master copy is so comforting to me. I’m supposed to walk some during the day so I walk back to my studio and look longingly at my things lol. Then I plan how to squeeze in more supplies so I can reach them. Two friends are coming in a few days to move some things for me, and then look out! As soon as I can sit at my desk, it will be smooth sailing. I know I can make a sheet like this. You do such a wonderful job of explains your creative process as you film. This means so much to me. I feel like I’m not “wasting time in bed” as I get more and more ideas and inspiration. For so long I thought I didn’t like the color brown. I realized that I do like a rosy brown. And, it’s led me to other colors that I never used in my work. I’m almost 71 so this proves that you can teach an old dog new tricks. Thank you so much, hugs, treen🦋🦋🦋
Treen thank you and welcome, back issues are so frustrating as the simplest of tasks becomes a monumental job, I hope you recover soon and reach the ability to follow your crafting passion once again.
Love your craftiness. You are very talented
Thank you
I love making labels yours are beautiful!

Thank you so pleased you enjoyed it.
I've been binge-watching your channel for a few days now and am so inspired!! Thank you for share yourself and your creative flow with us all. After watching this video last night, I made my first master board that had elements other than just various papers.
Wonderful Yvette
Someone in a group I'm in suggested this video for masterboard making and wow! What a cool idea to use the label stamps. Can't wait to try.
Have fun with it.
Great Stuff Ceri I ENJOY WATCHING YOU ….Greetings from a Newbie!
Hello Paula and welcome to my channel
@@CeriGriffiths thank you I’m learning fast and haven’t made too many mistakes but the ones I have made I’ve learned from keep on teaching. I’m 69 yrs old but it’s never too late to tackle new things, especially artistic things I love using multi mediums in my artwork ✌🏼❤️✨🫶
This is a very interesting project. I have not seen this done before. Thank you, Ceri.
Thank you, you’re welcome
Ceri, that was so much fun to watch. Thank you for sharing all your great ideas🙏🏻❤️🥰
You’re welcome
Hey Ceri, it is so nice to fussy cut images or work on my tickets from 12 x 12 paper (from your video) while watching and listening to your channel. I am not much into vintage, but you are getting me back into it. Love this master board idea and the labels from it. Looking forward to watch more from you from across the pond. Have a great day.
Thank you Sylvie the joy is the techniques can be adapted to many styles or themes.
Ceri, this is absolutely so much fun!!
Thank you Julie.
Absolutely love this video, Ceri! The labels ended up just beautiful! And the fun of making the master board is, well, half the fun! I’m loving making my own labels too! So many possibilities and things to play with. Thanks for sharing your process, dear friend! Love and hugs! ❤️
Thanks so much! Love and hugs
These turned out beautifully! Thanks so much for a wonderful tutorial.
You’re welcome.
Wonderful! You are a joy to watch, you have such a great eye. Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome!
Lovely Ceri 💞
Thank you
Hi Ceri, I recently found your channel through a friend. Your channel is wonderful. I watched this video this morning and this afternoon I made a master board in the same way as you did. I love how it turned out. I have a few label stamps, but they are small ones. I think I’m going to invest in some larger ones. Thank you for the inspiration. Oh and I also printed the master board on sticker paper. Now I have 60 labels in my stash. 🤗. Thank you again!!
Fabulous, thank you and welcome.
Hi, your labels are lovely. Beautiful background. I have seen Rachel's and a few others. Each person does something different that's the amazing part of being creative. I need to order these labels,! 👍❤️
Thank you
This is a wonderful idea and a beautiful job. Thank you for sharing!❤️
Thank you and you’re welcome Carolyn.
This is genius. Such a great video and thank you again for all the time & knowledge you have given so generously x
Thank you and you’re welcome.
Absolutely loved this tutorial! Many thanks Ceri. Xxx
Thank you, Love ya. X
I just discovered your channel today and I have learned so much already! I really appreciate that you don't assume that your viewers have prior knowledge and that you explain everything so well! This is all new to me and I can't wait to watch the rest of your videos!
Thank you have fun in your new journey.
I absolutely love your channel. You are such an amazing artist. Your collage and mixed media work is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your techniques, your thoughts and your ideas. You have inspired me to dive into this type of crafting and mixed media. Do you have any suggestions as what mediums, tools, supplies, etc. would be good to start for someone on a tight budget? I ❤️ this and the ephemeral box are my favorites and would like to start with boxes I think and tags. I do have acrylic paints, and watercolors in my crafting stash 😊
Mmmmmm...... that’s a hard one to answer as some projects require specific things but on the whole I’d say have a craft knife with a few spare blades, a metal edged ruler or something you can cut against, scissors, glue (PVA or gluestick) these glues will do most things although they may take a little longer to dry, old book pages or images from a magazine, you can find a lot of supplies like these from goodwill stores. I would say most crafters have to many supplies and gadgets theses days, when I first started I had very few supplies or money to buy any so I had to get creative with what I had, I learnt a lot about how you can push the boundaries on some products to get a similar look to those I saw in videos. Start to look at the stuff you’d normally put in the trash and see if you can utilise it in some way. Enjoy the journey and over time you’ll find the true core supplies you like to work with.
Good luck Ceri.
@@CeriGriffiths thank you so much for your suggestions. ❤️
I did not w ant this video to end! -
Sorry all things come to an end, but I promise there'll be more.
I don’t know if you saw it, but the literature in the label stamp package says that if you peel off the plastic on the back of the stamps, they will stick to an acrylic block. We’re they wrong?
No they were right I just didn’t read the instructions because I was too eager to play with them.
I so totally get that! 😁
Ceri - Just wondering... Why are you not able to sell this? It is your own "unique" Master Board? In the United States, there is a thing called "First Sale Doctrine" that allows people to use something they purchased to make more items. For example, under First Sale Doctrine, you can use a licensed fabric to make pencil pouches, bags, shirts, etc and sell them. I am a fellow crafter with a channel KitchenCounterCrafts (and a NEW Subscriber) & wanted to get clarification on original art work - even though you used stamps.
Hi there, I believe that it’s to do with copyrite, if I do not own the rights to an image then I can not reproduce it in any way digital for sale or items made from it for sale. In the future I will be using more of my own imagery in my work therefore will be able to sell digitals of my own design. Good question, thank you. I’ll have to look into First Sale doctrine as I’m not familiar with it.
@@CeriGriffiths Thank you so much for replying! I was asking because I thought your Master Board was just beautiful and so much of it was your own work. It's a shame not to share! :)Thank you for your great teaching!
Those signet stamps are very expensive.
They are but apparently he’s reduced them in price a little, I’d say hunt around and you may find one or two other single stamps that will do the job on eBay or Amazon.
Just found this 2 years after😂 I have trouble visualizing what to do with masterboards after creating one. Becomes "my baby" and can not cut them up😅 This is beautiful and a lovely way to use the masterboard. Love the photocopy it onto sticker paper. This I can see myself using. Thank you for the detailed make and outcome. The colors of the labels just make me happy 🎉
So enjoyed this; great art therapy! You are very soothing and wonderful at explaining the steps. Am really a fan, Ceri! 👩🏼🎨
Thank you.
Glad I found your site before spending money on ready made labels. 🇺🇸😊
I do enjoy watching you! You are a talented artist, a very good teacher and a delightful man. TFS 😁🥰
Thank you so much!
Know this was done earlier but I always get great tips from your videos. Thank you.
Jessica Rapp, Two silver oranges
Thank you, I've now updated the description
Glad I found your site before spending money on ready made labels. 🇺🇸😊
What wonderful ideas. Thank you very much for sharing. It makes me smile.
I am enjoying watching your video very much. It is relaxing and inspirational to watch the actual process. So please do not worry about it being boring. It is far from boring. My mind is racing with what I can do with the stamps I own. The stamp set you got from Signet, did you have to buy them all separately or did they come as a set? I went to their etsy and it looked like they are sold individually and at hefty prices. I don't have rice paper, but I do have some beautiful napkins to try. I loved this and can't wait to give it a try. So interesting seeing what comes out in the end. They all came out so lovely.
Hi Lisa. Thank you for your kind comments, I did buy the stamps as a set but they were expensive, I viewed them as an investment because I use them a lot however I must admit I don’t use all of them and could have purchased just a few specific ones.
Ceri, thank you so much for not allowing mid-roll ads. MUCH APPRECIATED!
I try to keep adds to a minimum.
Pure genius!! JUST WOW! THANK YOU!!!
OK these are just fabulous. Your creative videos are just so inspiring; I could watch ALL day long!😊
Wow, thank you!
How smart! I will definitely scan my creations now and use to labels or whatever. Thank you!
I too am very much into the #3❤ i do lots of things in three's because it's my favorite NUMB3R ❤😊
I love this idea! Looks so fun and easy to make and the result is fantastic! I will be making some of these! Thank you for sharing!
Uhoooooo !!! Muy buena idea. Gracias.
Garcias
Was it Jessica Rapp two silver oranges?
Yes it was
Just lovely Ceri. I have been playing A LOT with these stamps and I am absolutely going to try this. Thanks for sharing. Your work is beautiful.
Thank you
Thanks for the master board idea. Label, tear up for more collages or a page in a journal. Love your style.
Thank you
CERI! This tutorial was the greatest! I love love love your step by step instructions along with WHY you do it! I have Asperger’s, ADHD, and OCD. I’m also a 73 yrs old female! I get very fixated on your attention to detail and love it all! Thank you, for being YOU, and giving enough to share your great work and experience with all of us! Have a wonderful day!
Thank you Katie.
Love this way of making stamp labels. I love too how you used every available spot. Great job and your technique is flawless. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ And what a great idea making a copy of master board. Genius.
Thank you so much!
It was like watching someone play Tetris, I was mesmerized! lol
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
You're just the BEST! Loving this video to pieces :)
You've become my MUSE... Love everything you do!
Lol as I just fast forwarded to where you said that!
I saw someone do labels. Gayle A. maybe?? I got Cignet label stamps too. Gayle referred to him. Bob I think owns company. He's a super nice guy. Made several pages. Which were great. But I like how you added rice paper. And how your masterboard is prettier than mine!!! I need more labels now. So NOW I'll do YOUR WAY!!! YAY! I'm so excited. Yep, making masterboard is very fun.
I buy international too. And accept postage. If we buy anything that really isnt our favorite, we won't USE IT! So best to just buy what we LIKE. I turn my page too!!
Thx for video. Love it!

Fabulous, yes I have many master boards and they all offer something different, have fun.
Just discovered your channel, I've been enjoying your tutorials! I'm new to junk journaling, I'm now making the cereal box junk journal from your video . Thanks 💜😊
Wonderful, and welcome to my channel.
Hi 👋🏽 I am learning so much from watching your videos 📹 Thanks for sharing 👍🏽
You are so welcome Audrey
Now that you have removed the backing you don't need my advice.
There is a product called " Over and Over Again". Made by Aleene's, and also Tombow, Multi Purpose Glue, 9nce dry, it's sticky for a long time.
Sandi From BC Canada
Thank you Sandi.
Very beautiful gorgeous labels I 💞 it
Could you have photocopied the stamped label masterboard before cutting?
Yes I could have.
You could copy it after you have stamped the labels on it too. Poorly person here trying to think of ways to save energy.
Thank you, loved watching this
Yup I do sometimes copy them.
Wonderful.
Checked Etsy and the stamp shop is taking a break
Hopefully they’ll be back soon.
Your video popped up on my UA-cam home page so I thought I would take a listen. Although I don't do this type of art (but I might start) I really enjoyed this video, especially at the end. Genius idea to printing it out onto label stickers paper. I might use that idea BUT maybe print the sheet out on say 1" labels. Then I would peel one off and see where that takes me. Thank you for the inspiration.😊
Welcome to my channel and I’m so pleased this sparked some creative ideas for you. Thank you.
I just discovered your channel and your work is amazing. I look forward to watching, and learning, further. Thank you for sharing!
You’re welcome and thank you.
Great video Ceri. I appreciate you sharing the process. It helps my mind understand. Thank you
You are so welcome
Thoroughly enjoyed this video and you especially. Thank you for sharing.
You’re welcome, thank you
I loved this video. Thank you.
THAT was so cool! You got a LOT of labels! I was surprised. I've got to give this a try!!
Thank you
I have found this amazing. I bought some labels like this from eBay. They are lovely and I wondered how they had been made, now I know! X p
Have fun creating
You could always copy the stamped sticker sheet onto another sticker sheet prior to cutting them out - then you get two sets of sticker labels without having to stamp again! Great tutorial and inspiring
Good idea thank you.
I think in one of your videos you provided an outline of tag sizes and I meant to get a screenshot of it. Can you tell me which video that is in?
Lynda I think you might be talking about one if my 12x12 collage videos, I think I’ve still got the templates I’ll see if I can show them in a future video.
Hi Ceri, after watching this video, I have a question. After you photo copy the master board, can the copied master board that has been made into tags or the labels be used in a journal that is going to be sold? I was wondering if you know the answer as I was wondering due to copy right. Thank you.
I believe as long as it’s not being sold you’re okay but copyrite is a complex subject and checking is always wise.
Super fun and inspiring video. I enjoyed it all including your repartee. I’ll be subscribing.
Thank you and welcome.
I love this idea and cat wait to make some.
This is a great video and I'm doing this.... You are a class act and everything you do is top notch. I'm so happy that I found your channel. Thanks Ceri!
Awesome! Thank you!
I love it as is. You are very creative. New subbie here.Watching from Texas!
Hello and welcome Texas, I’ve been there many times.
It was Jessica Rapp at Two Silver Oranges who worked with Bob at Signet Stamps to design these stamps. Thank you for sharing so many tops for doing this technique!
Thanks for the info! I have updated the description now to reflect that bit of information.
I must say you have turned on my light bulb Now must run and fetch the sticker paper. Also as you were stamping I was reading the note on the stamp pack and wanted to tap you on the shoulder a tell you. I have loved every single tutorial I have watched and learned so very much. Thank you for sharing your talent
Thank you for your kind comments, art should be fun, go with your gut when creating.
Ceri, those labels are absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing your version! I also treated myself to those stamps ($$$). Mine came on a thick clear sheet which I removed so the stamps would cling; just thought I’d mention it in case yours are on the same and you’d like them to cling.
Thank you I' forgotten that I had to remove the plastic backing in my excitement to use the,m they are now sticky.
@@CeriGriffiths you’re quite welcome. Thank you again for my latest inspiration!😍
Can you share a link where I can purchase the stamp? Thanks.
Have talked about how to coffee dye the paper? If not, I’m sure I could look It up.😊
Lisa I’ve not done a coffee dying video because my studio has no running water and the process can get messy also there’s already many other videos on it and I offer nothing different.
This was my first video to create labels, and they are Beautiful! I love them!
Wonderful its always fun when you have something you’ve created yourself.
Your imitation of sped up talking made me laugh.😂 Loved this idea.
Lol.....thank you.
You are AMAZING! Thank you for sharing!
You’re welcome, thank you

Hello Cari! I just found your channel! I love what you did with the signet stamp set and your fabulous idea of the master board. So incredibly fun! Well done! I joined your channel so I won’t miss any future videos and I am sure it will be doing a bit of binge watching too!
Thank you and welcome.
WELCOME!!
Someone else may have said this already, but you could also scan the "framed" label sheet if you really like it and have perpetual labels.
Yes Russell I have a label frames master sheet where I’ve stamped the frames onto a white background I can then just copy that onto any image to make more labels.
Have you tried photocopying the copy once you've stamped it all?
I have, thank you
Hi Ceri I just found your channel I wanted to tell that I enjoyed watching you.
Oh thank you! and welcome
Such a pretty master board. Thank you for sharing 🤗
You’re welcome.
You make videos so easy to watch and learn from! You are an amazing artist and instructor, along with so many other great attributes! Ceri, do you know of a place I can learn more about copy right free laws that's in non-lawyer speak? I'm trying to figure out how I know what book pages I can use, etc. If you don't have an answer no worries! TFS! Hugs from South Dakota, USA. 🤗
Geri its an absolute mine field, I avoid it at every point. Books and their pages can be very tricky also depending on the country the book comes from, it depends on how long the author has been dead also does the content copyrite belong to a third party. I honestly don’t know where to refer you to.
@@CeriGriffiths thank you for your honest reply.
Beutiful 😊 end smart , gonna do this , Thanks
Great news
I love the idea of having my very own backgrounds. I will try making one. Thank you.
Go for it!
That was awesome, Ceri. Do you ever photocopy the finished product after you’ve stamped it with the labels? It seems like you should be able to use the stamped version two or three times in different projects.
Sorry, I should’ve read down the comments before I asked that question since you already answered it
No problem
