Congrats Cal! A great primer on what is involved in big game hunting and documentary video on the wildlife in our woods. Good luck in deer season. - Lorne R.
Hey Calvin we talked in fb and shared our stories. Great video! Congratulations on beating cancer, on your successful bear hunt, the lessons learned, and the memories made. Good luck on your deer hunt. Keep fighting the fight! 🤞🏽🦌🤞🏽
Thanks buddy! It took a while to get it all filmed and put together-glad you liked it! 2024 has been a ride to say the least! Keep up the good fight and stay in touch. Better days ahead for the both of us! Send me a message anytime 👍🏻
Great video..nice clips that made me feel like I was in the bush with you! You deserve the great ending.. in your hunt and your battle with cancer. Love ya!❤
Exactly what I knew the bear would do! Every bear that I and my life-long friend have taken always ran the direction it was facing when hit. Chuck Adams, the best known and most successful bowhunter in history who, in 1990, he was the first bowhunter to complete a "Super Slam" by harvesting all 29 North American big game species within a year. He is also the world’s best-known and most widely published bowhunter. Chuck has written 6,200 magazine articles and 10 full-length books. He received the Bowhunting World Reader’s Choice Award for 18 consecutive years as the most popular writer in that magazine, and has authored the four best-selling books in the history of archery. Anyhoo, just to show that even a master at something can still mess up. In Chuck's case, it could have cost him his life. He was on foot (he prefers to stalk what he's hunting for) and only 10 yards from a very large Alaskan brown bear (this bear is the largest Alaskan brown bear to be taken by archery) and it was facing him. His adrenaline was off the charts, because, 1. the bear was very close and huge (Chuck said that the bear was at least nine feet tall, and its head was as big as a garbage can lid!! It is the biggest Alaskan brown bear ever taken with archery gear)! And it was only 7 feet from where Chuck was standing! Links to some pics of Chuck and some of the enormous bears he has taken are at the bottom of this post. 2. This Alaskan brown bear, if he took it, would complete his Super Slam. So, under immense pressure to be the first person ever to take all 29 species of large game animals in North America, and hopefully survive it, he forgot that bears, when hit, run the direction they are facing. He has even written about this. He drew his bow and loosed his arrow at only 7 yards! The bear, ran straight at him and in less than 1 second hit him hard slamming him into the ground. It wasn't trying to kill him; it was just trying to escape. Keep kicking cancer in the nuts bro! This is a really well-made video, the transitions, music, B-roll footage, etc are really good! Congrats on the bear 🐻!
Thanks Cody! We appreciate the feedback! It takes a lot of time to film and put these videos together! It’s great to know this stuff is appreciated! If we can help other hunters live longer healthier lives then I see a point in filming! Looking forward to meeting you someday!
@@CalvinCrispo yes I know the work that goes into all of it. I’m about to upload my first original film in the next week or so from the bucks I got this past season! I’d love to meet you too!
Damn, dude. Great video! Can't believe a video this quality doesn't have more views. I'm betting if you keep up content this well done, the algo with pick you up. Sub from me for sure though. Great work, brother!
Thanks for the feedback and the sub! I'm trying my best to keep content coming. I'm at the tail end of deer season now and still filming. It slows me down, which I don't mind after chemo haha. Hopefully a deer hunt can be posted later this year! Cheers!
You made me cry when you reacted to your bear! Thanks for being so real, Cal! Keep doing what brings you such joy and peace!
Wouldn’t be able to do this without you!
@@CalvinCrispo 🤗 I think someone with a little more power may be more worthy of such gratitude. 🙏🏻
