Indeed. Many people lay way too much value on their eyes as we see much more as we are aware with our sub-conscience and in-between the lines when it comes to simulation of pupeteering and acting. A good costume is about a third of the illusion. The rest comes from good study of body language and put it into good mimicry.
The same counts also for special effects were motions are much more important as some might think when they are too used to photos.

Wow. I don't know much about horses, but this seems to be VERY realistic movement. I'd also want to pet the horse. Seems a bit skittish though, I'd probably forget it was a puppet and be afraid I might startle it.

I think this goes to show tjat movement sells the illusion far more than looks. I just watcjed a video with a beautiful deer puppet that looked amazing, but when it moved it looked positivly cartoonish from bad pupeteering.

Yeah maybe they could add fur like a fursuit but I'm not really sure how long it took to make the quadsuit per hours. Overall and overtly, I still think that the puppet looks cool
