I had a surgical injury back in 1997. I did not use Morgan & Morgan. Not sure if they were around then. I sued, the jury understood, & I am taken care of. I was a mom, x3, of very active teenagers at that time, was also a practicing RN, but I almost died & had to retire. I am left with ongoing health issues to this day, so I agree that there are times you need a competent & fair attorney. As in everything, do your homework. I did.
Your bedside manner is second to none, and you keep your patients informed throughout the procedure. That’s the mark of a great doctor in my book. And the patient was great too, and what a beard!
I don’t know how the doctor works around all that hair! I’d have to say”we gonna shave that”! Amazing job once again, also the beginning of the video shows how much Dr.Butler cares for his patients! Not many like him anymore.
Well if you shave you might leave microscopic cuts which also could get infected. Before many of my surgeries they will tell Me " don't shave that area!"😮
Every one of these videos has a guy with cheesy, scrawny facial hair. Take a shave FFS, and I'm not talking about the night before. Most of these vids consist of a teenage boy who can't grown a beard or stubble, just gross stringy hair.
Yea I think I woulda shaved the beard with a infection this big . Toobe honest that beard looks filthy . I can see why now a infection and cyst started
That was so big, I couldn’t even recognize that as being his chin until you emptied it. Poor guy, I bet he was in pain. Kudos to you for sharing a resource for patients that might need someone to fight their battle for them to get what they deserve due to the fault of someone else.
It was the back of the neck where the skull meets the neck. If you looked up a little closely towards the end you could see a piercing in his ear. I think he called it the chin because the jawline ends there.
That is what we come here for! Great surgical skills, a lovely bedside manner, a patient willing to share their experience, and of course the drainage!
Yes! One Ow outta him is all there was and it's starting to hurt a little bit but you're obviously playing with it. Dr: "Are you ok? " Him: "Mhmm ( pause ) as long as you are." That's knowing it's gotta be done and it'll feel so much better after it's done. I felt his level of trust with you Dr. ❤
Dr. Geoff I live in Alabama , Morgan and Morgan is well known here. I appreciate what you said about your clients needing compensation for happened to them thru no fault of their own. I respect you very much. Keep up your good works . Ingrid
That was a whole of infection in there. Fighting with the hair of the beard didn’t help😢. You always give the best care and always with such kindness. 😊❤
I’ve always appreciated how doc advocates for his patients. Multitudes of episodes “calling out” the system. For anybody doubting anything, I truly believe that wasn’t just an ad.
Wow, that was quite a big cyst to have sitting under his jaw. I'm sure it was very painful. Great job, as always... I love your bedside manner. Hello from Tasmania, Australia. 👋 🇦🇺
I could see this patient was in discomfort as this abcess was being drained,,but you were in very good hands,,,Dr Butler's bed manners are incredible, he will do his best to make his patients feel comfortable during any procedures. Thank you for sharing this video with us. Heal well.
I can understand why the patient grew out his beard. I feel so bad for him. That was a whole lot of pressure removed and he feels a whole lot better now. Very nice job.
@@Cyndi159my dad was like that. He had a few skin cancers removed over the years and just after Mum died I told him that he needed to make an appointment as he had one on his face and what I believed to be a massive cyst on his back and I was just as bad because I have many health issues and one was collapsing with no warning. He said that he would let me take him to get it checked if I was prepared to have testing done on why I collapse. It was a win-win at first but 13 months after Mum died from cancer I found my dad after he passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep. It was put down to bad heart health etc but I think he died of a broken heart.
Dr Butler, I’ve been watching you for years and you are one of the most caring, compassionate and thorough doctors I’ve seen or met. You are also appear to be a great teacher. I love your voice! ❤❤
Idk if everyone is the same or if a full blown infection like this is different, but I kinda “bust” a small cyst in my arm by rolling over it, and got a minor staph infection afterwards. After it “bust”, I squeezed it a bit and it had the same “cheesy” smell that earring holes or “toe cheese” have. Kinda gross to type out lolol, sorry if it’s TMI, but you said you were curious so I thought I’d answer you😂
I had an infected cyst before... It smelled like an old dirty dumpster filled with burning plastic. 🫨🥴😵💫😱 I had to squeeze it out in the Hardee's parking lot. I wasn't letting people see me with that giant cyst on my chin. I couldn't do it. 🤦🏽♀️ Thank goodness that was the only cyst I had like that. After that I got on antibiotics for my acne.
Great video, Dr. Butler. Thanks to your patient for sharing. We love this stuff, that's why we watch. I hope the patient watches the video and sees some of the comments. He'll see how much we like and appreciate you , Dr. Butler.
Those infected cysts are so painful, the patient was sleeping better that night for sure. I had several cysts procedures too so I know what its like. I wish a speedy recovery 🤞🍀
I got grossed out at first, but not after watching dozens of these. They're just medical procedures. I can eat just fine while watching, too. Either I have a strong constitution or I need less strange hobbies.

Anyway, I really appreciate your bedside manner, ensuring the patient is as comfortable as possible, and explaining every step of what you are doing and why, in addition to this being affordable educational purposes for residents, as you mention in your videos. Thank you for sharing this, and thank you to your patients.
I can see you’ve used multiple pieces of gauze, but would it not be better to put for example a kidney dish underneath to catch all the liquid? Then you would not have to use so much gauze. I apologise if my question sounds rude, I’m not trying to be & am genuinely curious. I love your videos and you’re an excellent doctor, thank you
KUDOS to you! It shows how much you truly care about your patients. I would have loved to been your nurse. How much I would have learned from you. Or even a rotation with you. If all physicians cared like you, health care would be so much better even as it is now. I believe you are awesome and a great teacher and of course, physician. Thank you doesn't compare for what you give.

You're such a lovely kind doctor, and so reassuring towards your patients. Could the shaking that your patient experienced have been due to the adrenalin in the local anaesthetic? I get the same feeling when I have a local anaesthetic at the dentist even though I'm not nervous at all, and the dental nurse said it was due to adrenalin that's added to the lidocaine. What do you think Dr Butler? Love from Amanda in Melbourne, Australia
When I had to have multiple surgeries to fix my scrotum after a sever abscess and a fleshing eating virus took hold. The dam sadistic Dr. came in and woke my butt up by taking out the packing and re packing the wound with out using any kind of pain killer. That pain was a lot more then just uncomfortable, that pain was on a whole other level.

Doctors in my country love shaving areas around surgery.i find it annoying
Doesnt need to be shaved, just trimmed
Shaving will actually agrivate the infected skin even more and cause a bigger problem

And when he put the packing in the hair got all entangled in it too 😖
As a nurse I think I would have shaved the beard and put some betadine swab to keep it clean
I can’t imagine having a dr who actually cares about me as a person.
There isn’t too many left out there!
I found one that makes me feel like they really care 🥲

Same here linda, I thought it was his scrotum
Me too. I kept trying to figure out his jaw line. Almost at the end of the squeezing I could tell where the cyst was on his jaw.
It was the back of the neck where the skull meets the neck. If you looked up a little closely towards the end you could see a piercing in his ear. I think he called it the chin because the jawline ends there.
