00.56 Sir please reply, i complete full video and do the same thing you did.🥰 But when I render the ball 🏀 in rendering it's only showing😓 1/4 of tha ball, that one whe we delete all vertices at 00.56 only this short part.🥲 How can I render full basketball??😔 Please reply 🙏 😅 My bad it was rendering in 4 part that why it was showing that way. After sometime I got a full basketball render 🎉❤
I wanted to put this into Godot as a prop but for some reason the orange bumpy material doesn't export and it just comes out white with the black lines on it. How do I export the texture?
Fantastic basketball modeling tutorial! The knife cut step done on the one octant (50 seconds in) is not intuitively obvious, but works great. How did you come up with that? I watched another basketball tutorial earlier today. Totally different method, starting with a UV sphere, deleting the pole vertex, filling in with parallel slats, a bit of fussing with things. Once the seam edges are selected, basically same from there one. The basketball texture in that tutorial wasn't that good, using Noise. I played with Voronoi and a color ramp, Bump, pretty much like in this video, and with some extra fussing it looked great. I think the overall result in this video is top notch, while the other one I saw earlier might be easier to model but the result looks not quite right, though good enough for a non-starring role in a scene. Note: as a non-athlete, it's been like 40 years seen I've seen a real life basketball!
Bro , m using the 4.2.0 version , and i can’t give the trim a color like he did The shader editor has been changed in this version of mine .. if u know how please tell me
stupid question but how do i convert all the nodes to actually get a real 3d model from them? i want to print it but when exporting it i just get the object without nodes... thx :D
Nicely and neatly done tutorial. I always liked your tuts, smartly done. But I will respect you more if you give a disclaimer if any of your methods are inspired by any other artist. Just a thought, hope you will not mind. Keep up the good works.
To select an more area you can do it by clicking Ctrl+ - this for selecting less area or Ctrl++ this for selecting more area. Hope you understood what I am saying 😊

6:55 the dots are not changing in mine, it is still following the circular pattern
Amazing work. Can you please share the PC specifications that you are using for the blender?
I'm currently using the MacBook pro M1 Max. Not a PC.
It runs Blender so smoothly.
Thank you for information.
Thank you for this 👌
Hello, love the tutorial. I have an issue when I unwrap the basketball, the dots don't change like yours. Im using Blender 4.1. Pls help 😮💨

Anyone? Thanks!
Спасибо!!!❤
probably nothing but it's bugging me. I get some weird outline of a box after i add the subdivision surface and go to edit mode. Any fix?
Me too, like extra overlapped faces
I also had that issue, but when I applied the modifer, it dissappeared

ANYONE know how he's doing the face for the tab
GREAT!!
very cool, but the bottom of the basketball should be rotated 90 degrees because the pattern of a basketball is a baseball with a cross
