This is an ideal example of why such hymns are known as "Spirituals." Ms. Arbuckle allows the Spirit to enter her, to fill her with light, and to sing with, through, and by her voice. She shines forth her ministry of music, and we are blessed thereby.
I thank God for allowing artists such as Ms. Arbuckle to show us the love and joy of the Earth. I thank Ms. Arbuckle for allowing herself to become a vessel of the Spirit's powers of healing and peace.

Ethnic noise. People pretended to like it as a courtesy, but they didn't like it and would never voluntarily listen to it. But admittedly, the highest art she is capable of, no question about that. Perhaps it creates a momentary illusion that she and her colleagues are interested in living in a civil society. A civil society .... now that is soul stirring, but beyond their capacity, I think.
Kent Betts Sorry Kent , so far everyone in the White community has come up to the black community and shared how they loved the spiritual song performance in public settings across the city. They shared how much it was needed and how they responded with reflection. Not a dry eye in the audience. You might want to view the historical ceremony again.

When she sings, the Spirit moves, whether you recognize Him or not! They couldn't have stayed in their seats if they had wanted to!

"Total Praise" by RIchard Smallwood. I think the soloist is pretty much ad libbing though. She isn't following a musical score. I am not sure what that was all about. Oh yeah, dead police.
Several people have both sang and ad-libbed this song. Why so bitter?
Pres. Bush's leg was tip tip. ..toeing in the air ..and Michelle Obama's fingers were tip tip toeing on president Bush's chair back.... and she had her back against her husband. That's all I saw.
