    With the kizerflux frames on my powerslide next skates I have both 4x90 or 3x100 on one frame. Love the fact that I can always choose.

    I have the kizerflux frame and so could compare directly 4x90 vs 3x100. It was obvious that 4x90 was much better. 4 points of contact, better weight distribution and the roll is smoother, because there are 2 huge gaps in the 3-wheel setup. However, it is true that a shorter wheelbase like 243 or 255 mm gives better maneuverability, but a longer wheelbase gives more stability. I prefer stability and I dont think the maneuverability with a 273 mm wheelbase (4x90) is bad. When the wheelbase is crossing the 30 cm mark, it is becoming really difficult to make tight turns (was skating with a 5x84 setup today).

      I have both and prefer the 3x100 most of the time. They’re faster and roll over obstacles better. I only use the 4x90 in indoor skating or when I want to practice skill maneuvers in a controlled area.

    I'm always put off by the extra length. My Reign Kronos use a tiny 215mm 3x100 frame, and I absolutely love them! Sometimes even a 4x80 can feel long in comparison. Would like to try a 4x90 at some point, however. I've been impressed by the Trinity frame.

      You probably don’t do a lot of speed skating with powerful long push strokes.

    I have all 4 powerslide frames. Between 4x80, 4x90, 3x110 and 3x125, i find the 4x90 is most practical for urban freeskating. But i reli dig the looks of a 3x110 😁

    I've been enjoying the trinity 3x100 LOTS, it's the perfect street set up for me I think.
    Yet I've been waiting to do a marathon in my life, to prepare, I've just bought a 3x125 10" frames, to get used to the 125mm wheels, for faster speed.
    I do have a 12.5" frame, but it's really not easy getting used to, especially I skate 60mm aggressive too.
    Just wondering, is it possible to do a marathon with shorter 3x125 10" frames, even 3x100 frames? I only wish to finish within 2.5 hours to get a medal recognition.
    Thanks a lot, huge Powerslide / USD fan here.

      Hi , yes with a 10" 3X125 or even 3X100 you can reach under 2.5h on a marathon. I'm quite sure you can reach under 2h with a bit of endurane training and a bit of technique. Coming from aggressive is a big advantage as you have a great balance. Focus on technique (check my channel eventually) and 2H will be quite easy i would say. Pascal Briand.

    I have 4x 90 which have been riding for like 15 years I want to get into tri skates. Should I go 3x 100 or 3x 110?

    • @PowerslideInlineskates
      @PowerslideInlineskates  2 роки тому +1

      then better to jump on 3X110 and if needed you can always use 100mm wheels on them ;..but 110 are super good on many asphalt and great against vibration

    I'm 40 years old, I did roller skate for a while when I was a kid (I wasn't bad). Now I want to start from scratch and my goal is to triskate. I wonder if I should start with 4 wheels first or can I learn directly with 3x110? Also, is frame mounting standard? Can I use all frames in the same bot? My foot length is 46 47. How is the frame selected when buying? So, mounting size 46 and size 43 are the same?

    • @PowerslideInlineskates
      @PowerslideInlineskates  Рік тому +1

      hi
      no problem to start on 3 wheels directly, many people do that, specially if you skated before it should be quite easy.
      if you buy skate with TRINITY mounting , all frame and size with be compatible.

    • @PowerslideInlineskates
      @PowerslideInlineskates  Рік тому +1

      yes with trinity its easy to chang ethe frame no problem. You can also just downsize the wheels to 110 or 100 or you want less speed

      probalby 3X100 is faster.... but a variant 3X110 is for sure faster then.

    Why don't you make a Trinity version of your Rapid 11" 277mm 4x90mm/3x100mm (904538) ?
    That one would be a winner !
    Open option for customer, who like me, like the 4x but would be interested on trying a 3x.
