- Living Full Time In a Mercedes Benz Sprinter Self Converted Camper Van.
My name is Sean, i have been living Full Time Van Life in the Sprinter van again for around 8 months now.
Time to leave Scotland and @PackTheVanAndGo and return to work and start planning our next trip.
I started this lifestyle because of my 20 year broken relationship.
Ive started to put my life back together and build for a future. I have turned my original van into a badass camper van that is lifted with all the toys, bells and whistles. Over the years Ive converted a Standard V6 long wheel base sprinter van to now, living fulltime in a jacked up van with Siri and Alexa as my companions and driving off-grid into the country and living life and moving forward .

No one needs to justify their existence my partner got divorced had to sell his house. Is now houseless not homeless as he has lived in his van for two years now. He loves it He took me to the Kelpies I loved it. Just be yourself and your videos and editing are just as good as any other I watch.

Hi you don't need to justify your lifestyle its your life nobody is better than anyone else just different. Always enjoy your vids holes under the mattress important to stop damp but also keep mattress cooler in the summer 👍

The Spares shop was great too - I just love that type of shop - we have a small one near where I live, but I don't really have anything to buy, so I'm not in there very often 😀😀

hi sean yer need the time and the scotland trip will have given you time to think things through, but the space the nature its good for the head, yer van looks like yer set for some great adventures and me time , and enjoy it nature puts alot into perspective and therapy im sure yer cant wait to return to the wilds of scotland its truly a heart stealer a magical place ,myself cant wait to return, i see in your older vids you had a talbot honest thoughts would be appreciated and a comparison of what you have today would be grateful keep em rolling and me time dont forget cheers sam
Hi Sam, i will be honest and say i absolutely loved my Talbot Express and even fitted it with a vauxhall corsa electric power steering column, and quite a few electrical goodie’s , i never drove it over 55mph as i was always in holiday mode, and just happy to drive and experience what a fantastic camper van it was. I took my girls out most weekends in the summer, but as covid hit the campsites closed and one of my daughter’s started having serious mental health problems . I had just brought the Sprinter with the V6 turbo engine and started to build that, what started out as track day motorbike camper soon turned into a full blown man cave on wheels, the Talbot was epic fun, but The Sprinter is worlds apart and definitely the best van for my needs, But i do have a soft spot for the Talbot 👍👍

I've had everything in life & still have, but i feel totally empty, materials, a nice home, car, good job & normalities don't make me happy, don't make me content.
I need the open road, the adventure, the freedom & i'm about to put a normal life behind me & start living the way i feel, the way i want & not what is socially accepted as the normal.
I'm about to start to LIVE & live my way. Onwards & upwards.

I viewed a lwb minibus Friday & I hope to be able to get insurance for it tomorrow then go buy it. It requires a new MOT, then it'll be all go on a basic camper conversion. It already has some comforts like various lighting throughout, plus heating, air con & nice roof lining, side linings.
I'll black out some of the windows, fit blinds/curtains, rear bed with garage under, basic draws for storage & seating. Thinking of a calor gas heater placed under the garage facing into the living space, plus an inverter generator (which I already have) in the garage boxed at the back of the heater at the back doors for easy in & out usage. The electric side of things is really not my forte, so until I learn or get it done by someone else...I'll try & make do with the very basics plugged into the generator. I'll probably get a 12v 20ltr or so fridge to start with & use my camping stoves with removable gas canisters.
You seem to have electrics sorted in doing your own, which is great 👍
I can't wait to crack on, I've ideas of my basic build going through my mind. Oh, do you travel off grid as much as possible? That's my intention.

Great video as always. Honest, heartfelt and sincere! I'm at the end of a 16 month nasty divorce after 18 year relationship, I've had to sell the family home as she's taking 80% of the equity. The kids are 14 and 16, so I need to find another family home for the next few years, which will require a massive mortgage loan, and I already 52 years old. To me, if "normal" is for families to work all day to pay the bills, whilst putting themselves in debt for the rest of their lives - then I want no part of it. Once my kids have grown up, I will be selling my next home and starting vanlife 🚛 🤘

My kids are are grown up now, and I’m now in the process of getting my sprinter ready for full time van life! Would be good to meet up at some point, I would love and appreciate some advice off you. Keep doing what you’re doing, enjoy what you’re doing! Think about you, not everyone else 👍

I`m in the same boat as you are my friend, and not trying to sound too discouraging, but I myself got in terms with it and the pressured thought does not cross my mind any more. It is what it is, some folks are not meant or built for this and that`s that. Most of the 80% of women chase the top 20% and the rest of the 20% of women are not worth it, either phat, Karen or ex-married with a bunch of children, rather be single then chose the latter.

Why do you say that because its not illegal to operate a camera while driving as long as risk assessment has been done, if it was a mobile well thats a different matter and carries a penalty. ETIS22 safe filming and recording information sheet 22 regarding road traffic act of 1988-1991. I was also holding the tripod and not the camera.
There is no normal life really, all of us are different and want different things in life and just got to do what is best for ourselves
