  • Wich track do you like the most? i want to decide wich one i will producing in an professional way and releasing it as a single. Thanks 😊
Iam happy to get this fantastic Groovebox from Roland. For me it's the best release since years from the inventor of the GrooveBox.
Ive made 16 tracks in one week, never was so quick to get demo results from a machine (and iam owning a lot of groove boxes). The user interface in intuitive and fast to work with. The sound possibilities are way ahead of what ive heard from other sound demonstrations here. For this affordable price there are no excuses for buying this, if you are into electronic music gaming. by the way, I used only a few presets, 90% are self programmed patches, which is really satisfying here.
yes, the sequencer has only 4 bars (64 steps) max, but has a deviser per part and probability- so for song scratches more than enough.

Ive used only the SH-4D (except the Roland J-6 that ive used for 3 tracks to extend the sound wall), no external effects and just a compressor in Ableton Live.
I hope you enjoy this video and my personal style of electronic music ;-)

TX :) Of course, I could have taken more time. But that's exactly always the test case for me, how quickly can I translate my song ideas into an instrument and produce it into a meaningful piece of music. Therefore, the challenge for me was to make one track every day that includes different styles (within the scope of my sound world ;-).

Great work, mate. You got some great things out of this interesting-looking box. My concern is it offers a LOT for the price point, that I almost wonder whether it's a bit "jack of all trades, master of none". What's your experience of its synthesis prowess after these jam sessions? In terms of pure synthesis, would it suffer next to a similar-priced but dedicated synth like, for example, a Minilogue, Cobalt/Argon 8 or Hydrasynth Explorer?
