Woo... Bosch's first cordless drop saw, seems very soild body build and smooth cut. Bosch did excellent job since this year really jump a big steps. Well done.
Weeks without video's and then 2 in a row, great suprise! Big fan of you guys.Regards from a Dutchy in Spain (but missing the Murray and Darling rivers daily)
Looks like a saw designed for contractors on site and that's a really good thing. Rugged, ergonomic and not too complicated with bits to lose or break. Really excited to see what else Bosch can stuff this biturbo motor in, a table saw? This sparky needs a new metal cutting saw and the GKM is looking a bit dated
I’m really caught with this saw. On one hand I don’t want to get into another battery platform as I’m already in several. But, on the other hand I really like the fact that it’s 8 1/2 compared to 7 1/4 like others in its class. I really need to see a shootout between this and the Metabo HPT (Hikoki) Multivolt 7 1/4 miter saw, Dewalt, and the Milwaukee cordless 7 1/4 options.
Great review! As a Bosch fan I'd love to see something on how the procore 4, 8 and 12 amp hour batteries stack up against the other battery platforms with runtime etc. Cheers!
I briefly tried the saw. It was all good except this: Doesn't cut deep enough that you can flip around 600mm plates Does only bevel one way. I'm planning on buying a mitre saw, but will go for flexvolt instead, Also tried the new angle grinder which has lot's of power.
Do you get descent cuts with this saw? I just bought the GCM 800 SJ and find it impossible to get a straight or smooth cut. There is too much flex in the aluminium housing between the motor and the pivot point. The blade finds its own way through the wood.
Para as ferramentas a bateria se popularizar só falta padronizar as baterias. Enquanto cada marca tiver seu próprio modelo de bateria fica muito caro comprar.
Are you guys carpenters and joiners? I kind of feel bosch are lagging in the uk market all i see on site is dewalt makita and milwaukee! Great informative video as always guys keep up the good work
thanks mate. No we aren't, I'ma handyman who ends up doing carpentry 50% of the time. Mike does a lot of maintenance and some building projects too. [Dwain]
Nobody makes the saw i want but this is the closest... I want a cordless 216 blade with laser and light upto 60 degree on the mitre sliding mechanism rails out at the front like the 10" makita and the festools so it can be pushed upto a wall. nobody makes one 😕

has anyone done battery drop saw comparisons? would be very interesting!
Oz Tool Talk not that I’ve seen yet, that would be a super viewed video. You guys should see if you can round up the players and let the game begin!!

The 216mm Dewalt FV saw high slightly less capacity. Great saw though.
I didn’t realize it’s a single bevel, that’s a no deal. Will definitely go Hikoki (Metabo HPT) 7 1/4 instead.

I was very happy with it
Thanks for the thorough review. Is this saw available in the USA?
you're welcome pal. dunno about the US sorry

You guys tried the Milwaukee 7 1/4
nah haven't tried a Milwaukee SCMS for years....
Is this one of there bluetooth connected tools? I was hoping there would be a revised cordless vac coming and the two would connect like makita.
i actually don't know the answer sorry!

the Dewalt DCS777 is probably the other contender, but only goes to 50° on the mitre. It has the shadow line instead of laser. Both great saws.
Gonna go buy one of these but......Does it have a laser does it have a shadow light.is this a tool review?
it has a laser, forgot to mention it. Mine was about 1/2mm out
@@OZToolTalk does it have a shadow light? Or work led light?
Take e review the Daewoo power tools .
Disappointing from bosch. Should have at least 47° and -2° bevels. Very basic. Great video all the same
