Fascinating design ! I just found your channel today and just love this concept. The SR-N1 was always my favorite hovercraft (before they added the skirt) even though it wasn’t very efficient. This truly looks like a REAL hovercraft and it looks like you’ve made some significant progress with stability and thrust vectoring. It might not be practical in the long run, but it sure looks cool ! There might be other ways to develop directional stability and forward generated ground effect with extremely light wings that have side walls. Instead of having a rectangular craft, have you thought of trying more of a wing shaped lifting surface ? I know you need to have the perimeter air flow fairly even around the craft, but there might be a way to channel the air through the side wall of a wing shaped structure as well.
Hey great work!! Nice to see someone covering these craft. I had a thought. Is there a way to utilize an air curtain around the perimeter of the craft to more strongly capture the air cushion that it rides on? Take some corrugated sign plastic, mount a strip of it around the perimeter of the craft, and push the air down through it to hopefully make something like an air skirt, and then also have the main propeller/propellers for the majority of the “lift”. Take the higher pressure air from under the craft to feed the pressure fans for the air skirt too. Just some out loud thinking, but for all I know, maybe this has already been conceptualized and attempted before 🤷♂️ … After watching more of your vids, particularly your DATA HEAVY one, it looks like you’ve been down the same road of thought. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised! I love your willingness to try new things and I’ll continue to follow your progress! Looking forward to part 2 of that video too.
I have been following your project for about 2.5 years and I realized a successful model 2 years ago. But it needed to be improved. Thinking of it as a simple drone, I wanted to share some controls with the autopilot card. Even though I had all the materials for the last 2 years, I couldn't find the opportunity. hope I can do it soon. (Note, the translation is Google Translate, sorry if there are any errors.)
Get the C of P under control and you can go from lifting to forward speed safely 😂 G of g in your craft and mine are in exactly the same position. Blablabla. I have the video to prove it and want to send it to you. Raymond

Awesome! By the way, have you seen Pete's full-size craft?

😊
Lego Fortnite be like. Interesting how a video game can help us with building designing such amazing hovercrafts
Haven't played the game in my life (more for an Unreal Tournament person...) but I'll take your word for it.
