- Bo and Crew take out the recently added premium F3F-2. This aircraft is based off the one currently on display at the National Naval Aviation Museum. "The F3F-2 on display last flew on 29 August 1940, when then-First Lieutenant Bob Galer was qualifying aboard USS Saratoga (CV-3). A malfunction forced him to ditch his aircraft in the waters off San Diego. Discovered and pulled from the Pacific in 1988, the bird was carefully restored by volunteers and staff at the San Diego Aerospace Museum and retains its markings as a VMF-2 aircraft. A Medal of Honor recipient during World War II, Bob Galer become a double ace at Guadalcanal and eventually retired as a brigadier general." You gotta love the flying barrel!

Why does everyone think that just the US .50 cals were "buffed"? *ALL* machineguns perform much better now, including the italian and japanese 12.7mm... they were shooting wet noodles/sticky rice before(unless you used the stealth belt and got close), now they fire hardened spaghetti and spicy meatballs/uncooked AP Rice soaked in burning Sake and the hottest Wasabi in the world.

Ah but the B-17 is balanced by wings made of Styrofoam, descents at gentle angles create new habitats for squirrels.

But German 20mm MG FF/M still doing nothing other than sparking, I'd rather have 4 50 cals instead of 2 20mm on my BF-109, atleast spreads better and has more ammo

With the .50 cal buff all the americans plane feel powerful now, specially the bombers, I had this mixed battle against americans while I was flying my B-29, fighting another B-29 felt like that scene of pirates of the caribbean, ship vs ship...

First time I see the F3F-4 but I will try to get it I like the how the landing gears are placed in the body and biplanes looks so nice I love the I 153 with the 20 mm guns but my my favourite plane is HE 219 A-7

Those buffed .50 cals really do work don't they? You should try the new thach's buffalo in the American premium, that has been modified from 1 .50 cal and 1 .30 cal to 3 .50 cals and 1 .30 cal. Just like the normal F2A-1. Plus because it is 2.0 BR it still goes against the massive amounts of players doing Italian CR.32/42's. One good burst with these new .50 cals and their wing is gone or they are on fire. Nice watching these videos still!
Kill-Cam-A-Lot It hasn't had 3 .50's for over a year now (unless they changed it again?).
Super Nova I haven't played for a full year yet, but yeah it does have 3 .50's now and it is so fun to dogfight in at that BR.
It's not only the US .50 cals, it's all machineguns. At least in Tier 1, the italian Breda's and the japanese Ho-103 12.7mm MG's are deadly firestarters now when using the stealth belt, a short burst is often all you need. The Anti-Air belt works well too in terms of doing damage, but the stealth belt just sets fires all day long.
The brits with their rifle caliber mg arrays are a terror(I saw a Tiffy Mk.I literally sawing a Lagg-3 into little wooden pieces, both wings gone, tail gone and on fire...), and even the japanese 7.7mm MG's are enough to bring anything in Tier 1 down with a good burst.
Machineguns in general are imho much more competetive. I only remember one instance where someone was soaking bullets, and that was a Hurricane versus my MC.200 Series 3 stock belt.
It's just sad going back to the low tiers and seeing the players barely work together at all. Bo and Company here chewed them up one by one(or in pairs sometimes)... the only ones who weren't dieing to stupid head ons and put up some kind of fight were the Ju 87 and the Br.65 at the end there...
Also, all these Br.65... they could have outran the F3F's and any other biplane(except for the italians own CR.42) no problem. That thing is too good to be at BR 1.0, it's able to outmaneuver the allied monoplanes and outrun the allied biplanes, and it's 4 machineguns are a legitimate threat nowadays.
Ctracerx2 I actually accidentally did that with my friends when one of them did 4.3 when we were supposed to be in 2.0 max. It was two of us in buffalos and I actually got 2 kills and caused a 190 to crash into the ground. Only reason I died was because I rolled too much and slammed myself into the ground out of panic XD
Yep, they changed it again. I remember a while back the F2A-1s had the wing 50s but they were removed after a few months or so if I recall. Now they are back, and with the overall improvement of the 50s they are killing machines against the new Italian lineups.
Do you use the mouse or a joystick for your flight battles? If you do can you recommend a good medium priced stick? I really enjoy your uploads and. The interaction between you guys are as good as your gun handling.
the F3 was the first plane in warthunder i found really good, that was before i unlocked the MKIV hurricane

Jesus the machine guns are acting like 37mm cannons now 1 hit and enemys gone
and if i remember correctly then you can dive in f3f at well over 300mph (maybe even 350)
The datasheet says 365 mph(676 kph) as safe dive limit. ^^

It's still slower in a straightline than the CR.42 though, and the CR.42 can dive almost as fast... plus, it holds on to that speed better than the F3F. If the players would stop thinking in such simple terms as "biplane = turn", then teams of CR.42's could stomp on all allied biplanes all day long.
The only other biplane that comes close is the infamous I-153 Chaika, being superior to all other biplanes in a sustained turn, the having the best climbrate of all biplanes and being almost as fast as the CR.42... the I-153 is a bad diver though, locking up hard and having a rather low dive limit.
Kinda wonder if Gaijin will add the A-10, because if you want a flying tank, get a Fairchild-Republic.

Brian Sun Dude, the A-10 could lose half a wing, an engine, _half the tail, and have a few _*_dozen_* holes put in the fuel tank and still get the pilot home. They have the damage model there, the just have to work on getting enough hardpoints on to equip enough ordnance to take out 13 MBTs, which the Chieftain was a Main Battle Tank.

Eh, arguable. The I-153 and the CR.42 are better, imho. Both are faster, the Chaika climbs and turns better, the CR.42 dives better(in terms of gaining speed in a dive, the F3F actually has a higher dive limit) and holds speed way better than both of them.
It's a toss up, really. Especially now, since all machineguns are deadly if you get a good burst on target.
