The fact that you feel guilty after the act means that you’re still being fought for by God. There’s an ongoing battle, and your repentance is a way of Siding with God. It you showing your faith in the right thing. Trust keep repenting and resisting and calling on Jesus, one day in the snap of a finger the urge will just leave!!!!! Trust me I know It works!!!
If you become saved will you still sin? YES! As long as we are in this world we will always continue to sin. Paul talked about this extensively. He said "should we continue to sin so that grace can multiple? Of course not!" If you are in Christ his grace is for you and you can never fall out of grace. You cannot earn it but a its a free gift that is given. You no longer want to sin because God is working in your heart but in our fallen nature we will continue to sin we just shouldn't sin and have a midset "God will forgive me" but we should have a mindset "i dont want to sin because i know God is holy and i now love him" so it drives us to live not in the flesh but in spirit. Think of it this way : if you are saved and the moment youre in the midst of sin and there is a conflict/war in your heart you can rest assure youre in christ. But if you moment arises and there is no conflict or war in your heart Christ is not in you. We battle against darkness, but how can you battle agaisnt darkness if you don't know you're at war with the evil one? But now that you know fight the good fight because you now know you're battling against darkness. There is a verse in the bible "those who sin are a slave to sin, but if the son (jesus) sets you free you shall be free indeed" You shall be free from the condemnation of sin if you are in Christ & if there is conflict, rejoice for you know truth.
Amen, this is so good a word. I need to keep coming back to Jesus and spending time with Him. God has been calling me back to this lately, to keep seeking Him until I no longer want to fulfill the lust of the flesh. Scripture tells me to not even "think" about it. So if that's you struggling right now: don't even think about sinning, seek to see God and let Jesus in! He died for you.

Only for them it was in the physical sense as they were commanded to live in a way that was so different than anyone else, that they remained separate from everyone, thus ensuring a pure bloodline to the throne of David, and our Lord and King the long awaited Messiah or Christ, Jesus, Who will reign on David's throne forever. But, in us the elect, it is spiritual, and we too, are a peculiar people in the sense that we are merely sojournors in a land that is not our own, as we are just passing through, to reach the destination that God has placed the desire for, in our hearts. Here is the tough part Matteus, and I can tell you this without concern of you turning and running the other way, because if indeed you are elect, then you, like myself and all of the brethren will be cast, in the furnace of affliction. Notice that I didn't say "cast into", like Daniel's three buddies, who were cast into a furnace to be destroyed. Rather, I said "cast in" and the reason for this, is because for us, it is not for punishment and destruction, but discipline and admonishment and through affliction, we are being perfected in Christ or you could say, being made into the image of Christ. When we are following Christ, we are the light of Christ, to the world around us. I am not saying we are Christ. But, when people see and hear a true blue born of God Christian soldier, there is such a vast difference between them and us, that those that remain rebellious against the Lord become uncomfortable because they love darkness and all the sinfulness that goes with it. They hate the light and shun it because it reveals the truth about their wickedness and the dark sinful condition of their heart, We need to be on our guard from attacks by the evil one, who works his craft in and through those that remain spiritually dead in Adam, as they are lost and deceived. We will be persecuted for Christ's name sake. That is one of the marks of a godly man. Just look at Paul. I've been stuck watching pornography for a few years. I'm not old, nor have I even gotten out of my teen years, but yet I feel so weary and lost and like I'm dragging myself around. God has helped me through so much, and I'm clean from it all. Even though my mind was changed by it, and I can't ever get that innocence back, I will still continue to learn from God and to turn away from my own desires to fulfill His. I have felt the rebirth this year my life did a complete 180 and I stopped doing everything I was previously doing the fear of God is amazing but I have slipped up a couple times and fallen into temptation of things I used to do and it hurt my soul to do so but recently I’ve felt far from God and I don’t feel saved or feel that fear for God like I should because I know he is real with everything going on and what he has done In my life any advice
Cody Wilson, If you have returned to God sincerely asking for his forgiveness after falling into temptation and you have learned your lesson and are not living in sin (open rebellion to God and his ways), your fellowship with God should not be broken. He will always try to correct a son or daughter who has been disobedient, but there is a limit to his patience if that person refuses to straighten up and continues to love sin. If that's not your case, then ask yourself how is it that you are walking with God? How is it that you are maintaining your relationship with God? Are your reading the word of God? You can't be born again and not crave to be fed by the word. Are you praying? If there are lacks in these areas you may feel disconnected from God. It's like being in a marriage. Imagine a husband and wife that never speak to each other. It won't be like it was on the day they got married and were in love with each other and looking to a future together. The relationship between Jesus and the church (all born again believers) is likened to a marriage. How are you doing your part in it? Think on these things. Peace to you!
YesToTheTruth I have not gotten back to a point when I can let the Holy Spirit guide me some days I feel like I am making progress and some days I feel far from God do you personally believe someone can lose their salvation and if so how could you get it back because I can’t re believe and we repent everyday but I could never be fully washed clean if God has taken away his spirit right idk hopefully you know what I mean

But if you got into the mindset that it's ok to return to your past sins, it's a trap you walked into. And salvation in Jesus is about beeing set free from sin (John 8:31-36), no longer being under the power of it (Romans 6:14, Acts 26:18). I believe that when a born again person sins, especially soon after getting born agai,n and the person goes down those old paths of sin, the person will be convicted of sinning, like you said, "it hurt your soul." I can relate to that, but then you don't go right back doing what had both offended God and hurt your soul. You understand you've played with fire and you make up your mind to not do that again. So, in that scenario the Holy Spirit doesn't leave you but strongly warns you. And if these warnings fall on deaf ears, then scriptures like Hebrews 6:4-6 and Hebrews 10:26-29 come into play to tell us what can happen. So, I do believe salvation, defined as the state of no longer being in bondage to sin or in the prison of sin, can be lost, just like someone who was released out of jail can go right back in for any number of reasons. A lot of men and women struggle with these issues the one thing though that's not said is that while Jesus Wil forgive us,and remember the sin no more there's still consequences for the sin. With that said He's just to forgive us and until we pass away we always have a chance to turn to God and be forgiven.

In a video titled How To Know If You're Saved - crazy to start out teaching works salvation. Then say the answer to how to know you're saved is to "turn away from sin & to God"???? I'm saved by faith alone. Yes I'm done with things I use to do, that's my works not my salvation.
Someone who is still in the death trap of sin is not saved. Sin is what Jesus saves from and that does not happen without repentance, which means "turn away from sin & to God", and faith in Jesus, which is a wholehearted commitment to follow his ways. Acts 20:20-21 sums this up. James 1:21-22 & Isaiah 55:6-7 also. You could not be saved while still doing sins you used to do. So, your works have something to do with your salvation, either works consistent with repentance (Acts 26:20) or works of faith (you taking heed to God's word to you and taking action which leads to living a way that pleases God). Salvation is not by the works of the Law of Moses, the Bible is clear on that. But these are not the only "works" mentioned in the Bible. There is no escaping the concept of works itself. People are either doing works of iniquity/lawlessness/rebellion/sin or works of righteousness/obedience/faithfulness toward God. In James 2, talking about works of faith precisely, he wrote this: James 2:21-26 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that *a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.* 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. The Bible teaches that with faith alone you are missing something vital.
Repent and forsake your sins. TRUST in JESUS Christ and his sacrifice on the cross. There is coming a day when the LORD will judge the world in righteousness. Hell awaits all sinners including lukewarm christians. JESUS says go and sin no more so if you loved him you would OBEY HIM.

You can't be born again and not crave to be fed by the word. Are you praying? If there are lacks in these areas you may feel disconnected from God. It's like being in a marriage. Imagine a husband and wife that never speak to each other. It won't be like it was on the day they got married and were in love with each other and looking to a future together. The relationship between Jesus and the church (all born again believers) is likened to a marriage. How are you doing your part in it? Think on these things. Peace to you!
YesToTheTruth I have not gotten back to a point when I can let the Holy Spirit guide me some days I feel like I am making progress and some days I feel far from God do you personally believe someone can lose their salvation and if so how could you get it back because I can’t re believe and we repent everyday but I could never be fully washed clean if God has taken away his spirit right idk hopefully you know what I mean
@@codywilson5445 The rebirth that you have described in your comment and what followed it seem clear enough to me. But if you got into the mindset that it's ok to return to your past sins, it's a trap you walked into. And salvation in Jesus is about beeing set free from sin (John 8:31-36), no longer being under the power of it (Romans 6:14, Acts 26:18).
I believe that when a born again person sins, especially soon after getting born agai,n and the person goes down those old paths of sin, the person will be convicted of sinning, like you said, "it hurt your soul." I can relate to that, but then you don't go right back doing what had both offended God and hurt your soul. You understand you've played with fire and you make up your mind to not do that again. So, in that scenario the Holy Spirit doesn't leave you but strongly warns you. And if these warnings fall on deaf ears, then scriptures like Hebrews 6:4-6 and Hebrews 10:26-29 come into play to tell us what can happen. So, I do believe salvation, defined as the state of no longer being in bondage to sin or in the prison of sin, can be lost, just like someone who was released out of jail can go right back in for any number of reasons.

I mean, there should be no mystery in your situation. What separates man from God is sin and and if there is a connection made when a person is born again, sin can again be the cause of that connection being broken. If you did not rebel against God in your heart about being obedient to Him, I can't explain what's going on, other than that I cannot speak about being saved as a feeling. We need to agree on what is the redemption the Good News promises in Jesus Christ. It's practical, like walking out of a jail cell. No need to wonder, "am I still trapped in that jail cell (of sin) or am I out?" So, if possible, let's get on the same page. Please listen to these two messages and see how you relate to what was your understanding when you were coming to God for that new birth, and also consider how you saw the fear of God as part of how you walk with God:

Real talk brother. A lot of men and women struggle with these issues the one thing though that's not said is that while Jesus Wil forgive us,and remember the sin no more there's still consequences for the sin. With that said He's just to forgive us and until we pass away we always have a chance to turn to God and be forgiven.

What type of camera do you use?
In a video titled How To Know If You're Saved - crazy to start out teaching works salvation. Then say the answer to how to know you're saved is to "turn away from sin & to God"????
I'm saved by faith alone. Yes I'm done with things I use to do, that's my works not my salvation.
Someone who is still in the death trap of sin is not saved. Sin is what Jesus saves from and that does not happen without repentance, which means "turn away from sin & to God", and faith in Jesus, which is a wholehearted commitment to follow his ways. Acts 20:20-21 sums this up. James 1:21-22 & Isaiah 55:6-7 also. You could not be saved while still doing sins you used to do. So, your works have something to do with your salvation, either works consistent with repentance (Acts 26:20) or works of faith (you taking heed to God's word to you and taking action which leads to living a way that pleases God). Salvation is not by the works of the Law of Moses, the Bible is clear on that. But these are not the only "works" mentioned in the Bible. There is no escaping the concept of works itself. People are either doing works of iniquity/lawlessness/rebellion/sin or works of righteousness/obedience/faithfulness toward God.
In James 2, talking about works of faith precisely, he wrote this:
James 2:21-26
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that *a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.* 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
The Bible teaches that with faith alone you are missing something vital.
1 corinthians 15 1-4
Repent and forsake your sins. TRUST in JESUS Christ and his sacrifice on the cross. There is coming a day when the LORD will judge the world in righteousness. Hell awaits all sinners including lukewarm christians. JESUS says go and sin no more so if you loved him you would OBEY HIM.
