This live performance was recorded not too long after the album was released. I have noticed more variations and minor changes in songs as the songs get older.
I would suggest to get the spectrum I get the feeling you're looking for, maybe go back in time to when they were fresher, newer, less experienced, and then work your way through to the present when they have all the equipment, lots of experience, and have are being presented as a proper high-end band. Go back to Sit Stay Rollover, Outlander, Scissors, Just Another...do the same comparison...I will bet you will not only see that gap between studio and live but get acclimated to their sound and be able to distinguish their growth from where they were to where they are...I also believe that when you do that, and you get to hear this track again, live...or maybe Vortex live...you will have that much more of an appreciation for just how amazingly talented this band and every member of it, is.
@@ThatKriegGamer Sounds like a neat idea. As much for my own amusement as anything I compiled a little list of Jinjer history, with a track from each album or EP they've released. Mostly studio versions but with probably enough to keep the 'watch them live' crowd happy. It's kind of interesting watching them change over time (including the line-up). Scissors 2011 (Studio session - from 'Inhale, Don't Breathe' EP) ua-cam.com/video/T62BJ4_r-7w/v-deo.html Outlander 2014 (Studio audio, live footage - from 'Cloud Factory') ua-cam.com/video/XtOYjCkHJak/v-deo.html Sit, Stay, Rollover 2015/16 (Self-produced music video that got them signed to Napalm - from 'King of Everything') ua-cam.com/video/a98LI-arNS4/v-deo.html Teacher, Teacher 2019 (Music Video w/live footage - from 'Micro' EP) ua-cam.com/video/oRkRwL0vjOg/v-deo.html Judgement and Punishment 2019/20 (One take vocal over studio audio - from 'Macro') ua-cam.com/video/Q5rg_63Shqg/v-deo.html Vortex 2021 (Music Video - from 'Wallflowers') ua-cam.com/video/AiaOSGZTwtY/v-deo.html
In this live performance, some of the clean vocals are supplemented by backing tracks, & there's some kind of high-pitched echoing sound effect at the transition at about 4:18 to 4:20 (of your video) that is probably in a backing track. Other than that, this is fully live. I think that we fans appreciate that the live sound is more dynamic / uncompressed than the studio version. I find this most noticeable on the drums & vocals. Also, the live growls are just incredibly good throughout this performance, especially during the doomy section from about 3:30 (of your video) through the end of the track. I mean *really unbelievably* good. This band is a great subject for double features in which you react to the official music video (studio track) & a live performance. Off hand, I'm not sure what you've already reacted to, but here's a list of suggested double features: "Home Back" official + live at Hellfest 2021 (no audience due to COVID) "Ape" official + one-shot live "Vortex" official + live at Hellfest 2021 (no audience due to COVID) "I Speak Astronomy" official + live at Summer Breeze 2018 "Sit Stay Roll Over" official + live in Melbourne "On the Top" official + live in Kiev "Captain Clock" official lyric video + live at Resurrection Fest 2018 "Cloud Factory" official + official live "Who is Gonna Be The One" official live is, IMO, better than the studio track in *every way,* but there's not even a lyric video to go with the studio track. Still, it's good to hear the studio track first for comparison.
Just an observation…you seem to be looking for problems. Being truthful is important..but you know that 95% of the people clicking on a Jinjer reaction vid are Jinjer fans..right? So maybe look on the bright side of things and not seem to be off put by things like, you know, it sounding as good as the studio version. Prob they’re just not you cup of tea.
You know what you're completely right mate, I was being quite critical honestly. I did enjoy it though. But I'll maybe take a chill pill for the next one and relax a bit. Justified observation mate and I completely agree :)
Watching both is awesome. I love the video of PoC
I completely agree mate, great video!
This is as close to perfect as you can get for a live performance! Great reaction!

Good advice mate, I honestly didn't think of that. Much appreciated!
