Blake is wonderful and a natural teacher too. Together with Martyn, Neil, Chris, Doddy, Toff and everyone at GMBN, it's my favorite channel. I'm 65 and I call it "SUPER NICE".😄 One day I will be known as "The Old Man and the Shred".... when I earn it.
I'm the same age and just bought a hardtail to get off my thin roadie tires for a while and try something new this winter. I'm completely convinced that real mountainbikers are insane. I'll be happy if I manage a bunny hop any time soon...
I've noticed lately gmbn's production quality getting heaps better with some rly nice camera angles and still rly entertaining content, absolutely loving it guys. Keep it up 🤙 Always love Blake on a hardtail too
I just ordered a black Nukeproof Scout 290 frame two days ago to build it up as my do-it-all trail hardtail. And altough I will probably never ride the stuff Blake rides in this video, it's just great to see what a hardtail is capable of in the hands of a skilled driver. It gets me hyped to build the bike and go out to ride it.
I love these Blake videos. Makes me want to remove my hardtail off the turbo and take it for a run. I use Full Sus exclusively right now but really do miss the feeling of the hardtail. Blakes energy is second to none!!!
Same here. I really want a full sus because they're so good now and you can go faster, but I really don't want it to make my rides boring and lazy, which is what I keep hearing people say about it. Eventually I will get a full sus bike just to say I tried it.
I absolutely love Blakes's videos he is a beast on a hardtail not to mention freaking hilarious. So fun to watch his videos. Neal as well. Keep the hardtail videos coming my favorite series to watch.
I'm about to upgrade my 2023 kraken scout to a full sushy, then suddenly I watch blake conquering whistler and having fun.sick video dude! Hardcore HT for cooler life! YOLO! 🤘
I started mountain biking in the mid 90's on full rigid. Today, I've ditched my suspension fork and now ride off-road full rigid because my terrain simply isn't gnarly enough. Sure it's slower when things get rough, but I enjoy the extra energy required. It's a great workout!
Blake, your first Whistler video was actually on a 2018 scout v2. But love how riding a hardtail at bike parks is no longer even a question with the current breed of hardtails. I love taking my hardtail to the bike parks here in the north east even though I also have a nukeproof dissent.
This guy got me hyped for getting into MTB riding ordered a hardtail. First wanted full susp but seeing Blake's riding I decided to buy a BMC twostroke hardtail as my first Mtb can't wait to receive it! And hope I won't regret it!!
Hard tails make me happy, especially ripping a berm. Trust Blake to just nose manual down a slab of death. His whips are totally awesome. Techy stuff, he has it covered. So much fun to watch.
Maybe a flat pedal specific skills training series by Blake would be of interest to all of us flat pedals crowd? Seeing as most of the skills videos are oriented towards those who clip in?
Not Whistler but I’ve ridden Northstar bike park in Tahoe on a hardtail. It was a 27.5 steel frame Cotic BFE with 140 forks. Had a blast! Definitely killed my arms by the end of the day, and I opted out of some of the gnarliest stuff, but I was able to keep it full speed in 90% of the park. One of the most fun days ever. Highly recommend, especially if you’re an experienced rider looking for a fun new challenge. And I have to say, these Blake videos definitely inspired that decision! Cheers Blake! 🍻
There are not many out there that are good enough riders like Blake that can ride a hardtail in those conditions . He separates the men from the boys .
Blake should start his own YT channel. Then his content should focus anything about hardcore/aggressive and dirtjump hartails. Now that could be interesting.
See Blake on a hardtail - insta like and then check what I signed myself into. =) Did you boost that Manitou to 160 mm like in your previous Scout or you keep it at stock 140?
i rode trestle bike park in colorado yesterday. i remember telling my friends that i thought people were missing out on all the fun. and now i see this video…. and i’m pretty sure i didn’t even achieve full bliss
Soooo sick , this is what I'm doing right now, a hardtail freeride , i just need a better fork , i cant wait to complete my bike , hardtails are amazing so u guys 🤙
The bars being twisted is an everyday thing for me with single crown forks. At 5-6 nm I'll twist the bars every minute or so. Need to go up to like 12 and even then it happens once or twice per ride. Hail direct mount stems.
Was literally going to buy a hardtail today. Didn't like how it felt and got my first full suspension instead. This makes me with I found a different hard tail lol
Have you ridden Whistler Bike Park on a hardtail!? Share your crazy hardtail stories with the community down below! 👇
You should do a contest and winner gets to ride whistler on a hardtail together with Blake.
More then few times.... Even back in the day on 26/24 hardtail with monster T's ( Banshee Morphin)... Life was simpler then lol.
It’s the dream and goal to ride Whistler on a hard tail someday!! Love my hard tail!!!
@@JustJake77 I've still got my 250cc and trying to get it rideable. Finding wide enough 24s to match the double wides...not easy!
I rode Les Gets on my HT and that was gnarly already, can't imagine Whistler!
I am a simple man. I see a video of Blake on a Hardtail, and I click.
Blake on a hardtail on Whistler? That's the holy trinity!
Fellow simple man here. Let us all gather here to click and worship thine glorious shred.
MATT 0.o should we see a space themed MTB frame wrap on your channel?
Matt I love your channel
Space and bikes, what a cool guy
I started mountain biking at 39 this year. Blake is my biggest inspiration even though I'll never be able to ride like him!

Dude, keep riding and just love it. It doesn't matter the skill level. 😎👍
Welcome to mountain biking, Iddin! Thanks for the support! 👍
im looking to buy my first bike im 35 lived in north van my whole life never got into mtb till now
I've noticed lately gmbn's production quality getting heaps better with some rly nice camera angles and still rly entertaining content, absolutely loving it guys. Keep it up 🤙
Always love Blake on a hardtail too
Totally agree!
Glad you're loving the content! We have such a great team behind the camera that make all this happen! We really appreciate the support! 👊
Absolute legend, Matt Hofmann in my years as a kid, but Blake Samson is an incredible guy and a serious Mtb rider….👌🏽👏🏽🏴
Blake makes some stuff look so easy. That chunky stuff on a hardtail is insane! I would have walked 95% of that. Well done!
Anything Hardtail related should always include Blake
💯%!
I just ordered a black Nukeproof Scout 290 frame two days ago to build it up as my do-it-all trail hardtail. Send a photo to the bike vault when it's done, could get a Super Nice!
You will not regret buying that frame. Promise.
Nice Daniel! It would be cool to see it when it's built! Feel free to submit it to the uploader! 👍
@@gmbn Oh, I will! It will probably take some time though, parts are expensive and hard to get…
Blake is ready to shreddy! Well done
Always ready for a shreddy!
5:19 - Blake enjoying his Nuke proof scout
Still making riding look so easy Blake. I appreciate your time taking a pic with me while making this video. It was good meeting you.
Totally answers the 'could'... The 'should' is still a no lmao
I love to see Blake shredding a hardtail 🤙
Every time i see Blake doing this tipe of videos i just get more in love with my canyon stoic hardtail thanks Blake
Love my stoic too. Will never be able to ride like Blake but I enjoy my self to the fullest. Thank you GMBN
These videos are the reason my dad bought a 2020 nukeproof scout.
Nice! The Nukeproof Scout is such a great choice! 👊
I love these Blake videos. Makes me want to remove my hardtail off the turbo and take it for a run. I use Full Sus exclusively right now but really do miss the feeling of the hardtail. Blakes energy is second to none!!!
I love my hardtail so much so that I’ve never even tried full suspension just in case i may get spoiled.
Same here. I really want a full sus because they're so good now and you can go faster, but I really don't want it to make my rides boring and lazy, which is what I keep hearing people say about it. Eventually I will get a full sus bike just to say I tried it.
Full suspension is good, but hardtails have to be cooler!
Blake remains the most entertaining presenter on gmbn by far
The only disadvantage of a Hardtail is it's roughness sometimes.
So that's the only "disadvantage"
I don't need a fully,point
Blake is the reason why I chose HT over FS. Thanks Blake.
Perfect time of day - absolutely beautiful light for some runs.
Babe wake up, a new video of Blake on a hardtail just dropped!
😂
Blake is the hardtail legend
Hardtails are sick 🤟🏻
Too right! 🤘
Can't beat the fun of a hardtail baby!!!
Yesss!! Hardtail vid🤘
Hope you enjoyed! Hardtails are elite! 🤘
Try it now on a xc geometry hardtail with 100mm fork travel, I feel like that’s what most of people have as their mtb.
YOLO! 🤘
Love your style. Playful but aggressive, refined but not arrogant style in the air. I wish I could do that!
Yus Blake!! Got a new Hardtail challenge for you…
Sounds good! What you thinking?🤘
I started mountain biking in the mid 90's on full rigid. Today, I've ditched my suspension fork and now ride off-road full rigid because my terrain simply isn't gnarly enough. Sure it's slower when things get rough, but I enjoy the extra energy required. It's a great workout!
Ive been riding my first MTB year this year on my GT Zaskar hardtail and I do not have any regrets not going FS.
Blake, your first Whistler video was actually on a 2018 scout v2. But love how riding a hardtail at bike parks is no longer even a question with the current breed of hardtails. I love taking my hardtail to the bike parks here in the north east even though I also have a nukeproof dissent.
yeeeahhhhhh Blakes and hardcore hardtail is backkkk!!!
HARDCORE HARDTAILLL!🤘😝🤘
Hardcore hardtails is where it's at! 🔥
This guy got me hyped for getting into MTB riding ordered a hardtail. First wanted full susp but seeing Blake's riding I decided to buy a BMC twostroke hardtail as my first Mtb can't wait to receive it! And hope I won't regret it!!
Thank you for taking the #ScienceofSmooth along for the ride!
As diehard Hardtailer..... I approve of this content.
Blake "Mr Hardtail" Sampson is the king of hardtails :)
Blake convinced me to build a 2022 Nukeproof scout. Thank you Blake, it's amazing 👍
Hard tails make me happy, especially ripping a berm. Trust Blake to just nose manual down a slab of death. His whips are totally awesome. Techy stuff, he has it covered. So much fun to watch.
Manitou forks quietly killing it!!!
Hardtail Adventures from blake!
every bike ride becomes an adventure on a hardcore hardtail.
This is why hardtails are a blast you are constantly on your heels
Maybe a flat pedal specific skills training series by Blake would be of interest to all of us flat pedals crowd? Seeing as most of the skills videos are oriented towards those who clip in?
its the same - flats or clips...
I'm from the BMX background n Blake is the one whose responsible for my addiction to hardtail 😆😆😆
In my opinion the ht will never die such a universal bike it all depends on how insane you want to get 💁♂️
Indeed
So true! ⬆️
Yes! More hardtail!
Not Whistler but I’ve ridden Northstar bike park in Tahoe on a hardtail. It was a 27.5 steel frame Cotic BFE with 140 forks. Had a blast! Just rode my meta ht at Trestle bike park yesterday, loved every moment of it 🤙
love this kind of videos ❤️
Keep up the great work 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Brown bears are still less frightening than doing these trails on a hardtail.
Still riding hardtail at 59. I put on a thudbuster L1 shock seatpost helps smooth things out for my old ass.
Crazy horse set loose 😈 nice one Blake you're a wild one on your Hardtail 🔥💯💥🤘
Blake sick ride!
I hope that bear had his Wild Man Blake spray. That was awesome man !
Didn’t even watch it and I gave it a like. Can’t lose on a hardtail!
Sick riding Blake 👊🤘
You're V3 in yellow with the gold hubs 😎🔥🔥🔥👊🤘
Awesome stuff #GMBN 👍
It's a sick looking Scout isn't it! Thanks for watching Ross!
Luv it blake.. your d ambasador of HT!💪😃
This is so cool. Next time you should ride this on a hardtail with a coil shock!
So great seeing hardtails being shredded so hard, absolutely love it, nearly sold my scout for a full sus but after watching this I'm glad I didn't.
You should do this every year!
he did not seem to enjoy those doube diamond stages lol
I don't even mountain bike. I just love watching Blake lmao.
Hardtail I'm in 😆 blake I'm in pure skill from you mate love the content
No doubt about it. Mr Blake, you can ride
For sure! 😎
Mehn. Seeing Blake ridin' n' shreddin' on that Nukeproof Scout 2022 is just so drool-worthy. I've wanted this bike so much...
Goats Gully reminds me of parts of "Comet" at Skypark here in SoCal. But much harder.
Blake for redbull rampage on a hardtail.
That would be crazy! 😅
I love my hardtail and bcoz of Blake i'm lovin it more :D
🙌🤘🙌
Big tires. big fork .speed.brain at home is the best hardtail combination
There are not many out there that are good enough riders like Blake that can ride a hardtail in those conditions . He separates the men from the boys .
Hey Blake! I love your riding! Great video! What do you think of the mezzer fork?
A solid performer! #ScienceOfSmooth
Just got my first mountain bike which is a hardtail. I hope one day ill be decent enough to get to whistler and experience it.
Hardtail 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽 more videos 😎😎😎
What size tires are you running? Any tire inserts?
Rarely do I watch a video and say "I need that". But I seriously want a Nukeproof hardtail after seeing how hard it can be pushed.
Just got my Ragley Big Al
Great bike
Whenever I see these videos it makes me want to order one of the yellow Scout frames. Which Manitou fork is Blake running on his?
I haven't ridden Whistler on the hardtail, but I did a few laps up Sun Peaks. Not sure if I had more fun on the full sus rental or not.
Just bought a fully. Thought my Scout V3 would hold me back on the rougher and bigger stuff. Guess I'm holding me back.
Blake on a hardtail , like the video before watching!
Gmbn should do fat bike too at whistler. That would be rad.
Thanks for the idea!
Blake should start his own YT channel. Then his content should focus anything about hardcore/aggressive and dirtjump hartails. Now that could be interesting.
I love hard tails too! ❤️
That bike is screaming for the latest Green Lyrik Ultimate 160mm travel.
Soooo sick , this is what I'm doing right now, a hardtail freeride , i just need a better fork , i cant wait to complete my bike , hardtails are amazing so u guys 🤙
That’s rough going Blake. I thought 2mins on Pass the dutchie is hard enough on a Hardtail!😀
I love my hardtail too!!!
#hardtailgang 🔥

Probably a bit late to the party with this question - but was there a difference in the techy stuff comparing 29ers to 27.5's? Any smoother?
I f*ckin love hardtails 👍😁
🔥
Awsome , inspiring.
Hard core hard tail
Was literally going to buy a hardtail today. Didn't like how it felt and got my first full suspension instead. This makes me with I found a different hard tail lol
