Project Necromancer is an attempt to "fix" the weirdness of the sequels. Remember "Somehow the Emperor has returned?" Yeah, they needed an explanation, cloning and sith possessing said clone is the obvious way to do it, particularly since Thrawn is canon due to being in Rebels. And the Thrawn trilogy already used the cloning of force sensitives as a plot point. Basically, it's the best way to save the mess that is the sequels.
If im not mistaken in George Lucas’ rough draft for the sequel trilogy Maul was the main antagonist. Imagine Moff Gideon successfully brings back Maul and Lucasfilm remakes the sequel trilogy the way George Lucas intended. I highly doubt that this is going to happen but a boy can dream.
@@kalebcole8711 Eh. Let Maul stay dead for good this time. The man's been through enough. I think the direction they're actually going in is to do a loose adaptation of Heir to the Empire, which is pretty damn awesome in and of itself.
Project necromancer definitely has to do with cloning palpatine, I think that the original plan was to clone palps but when that went wrong they instead had to transfer palps essence into SNOKE, a lesser clone, who would not have been force sensitive if it weren’t for palps essence being transferred into him
Adapting Project Blackwing to the tv show, or a movie would be really dark, and brutal. In th expanded universe Chewbacca, and Han Solo were one of unfortunate people that had encountered this virus. PS. If you are wondering there is something much more sinister then Project Blackwing, and its existence could threaten the entire galaxy. This entity name is Mnggal-Mnggal that is located somewhere in unknown regions, and even the Celestial fearted creature.
I dont think Mnggall Mnggal is more frightening than project blackwing to be honest. It's cruel and intelligent and dangerous but it is mostly contained to its planet. The black wing virus however, doesn't seem to be as easily contained, the undead it creates are intelligent and telepathically connected. They seem not to have any desire except the growth of their collective.
Remember the main group was leaving the prison and on the way out they heard a baby wookie getting torn apart by the resurrected parents? Baby wookie cried out in pain and then you hear parents sucking bone marrow out.
Yeah, I think it's more likely that Hux Sr. simply didn't trust his son with the information on Project Necromancer and intentionally kept him in the dark. He saw his son as an idiot and more a pawn he could use. He and General Pryde and others who knew of the plan wouldn't have wanted too many people to know about the Sith Eternal and the Final Order in case of leaks or incompetence.
The only way it's zombies is if they're thralls serving as the crew for Palpatine's secret fleet in Rise of Skywalker. That's also about the only option Disney can have to explain who was operating those ships.
When you said that the virus had existed once before, my first thought was the Rakghoul plague but that could be because I find the whole Rakghoul story very interesting especially Nekghoul who is Force-sensitive.

I mean, they have been slowly making a lot of Legends cannon over time. I don't know why you think they are adamantly against it. Most of the old Legends post episode 6 was pretty trash anyways.
Palpatine confided in Anakin that some of the Sith teachings were "unnatural". A Sith Lord before Palpatine was punished by the force for such unnatural tendencies. What if Palpatine made himself a host of the Necromancer bioweapon? Thusly being revived as undead when Vader threw him down the power core in the throne room. It would also explain why he was so desperate for Rey, his descendant, to strike him down and absorb his essence, so he can be reborn as living, instead of undead. It also explains the large crowd presence on Exelgon in Palpatines presence in the final showdown woth Rey. It doesn't explain why Rey wasn't reinfected by an airborne virus after Ben transferred his essence into her. Was Project Necromancer meant to be bloodbourne instead of airborne?
problem is Disney banned all the legends canon, then understanding they had no ideas of their own started picking bits of cannon here and there to make their new shows, but the canon is a continuous story, this chimera monstrosity of canon works will eventually brake everything. I am sure the Yuuzhan Vong will turn up at some point and Rey will fight them with her X-wing Squadron.
In order to get a better understanding of this video and the concepts it discusses. You have to read, not just Death Troopers but Red Harvest. The second book as well. Both great reads and Red Harvest delves more into the lore behind Darth Scabrous.

@@murgeous I haven't read either but I 100% agree there isn't enough time in the story line to flesh out this. Just have it be future Palpatine. We won't get a good enough story trying to tell anything else. Not enough room. Ashoka and Thawn and the Dark Jedi I think are going to eat up a lot of the attention of Disney. Favreau and Filoni only have so much time.
I'm pretty sure its Gideon who's going to die. It makes perfect sense considering he uses the phrases, 'Good ending' and 'satisfied' but 'other things' implying thrawn and the shadow council.
I think what Disney is doing trying to make sense of the sequel is a good idea. I just hope that the movies going forward will be written better to prevent this monstrosity again.
Well...since Disney/Lucas Film has decided the Rei-verse is going to continue as canon they had to come up with something to explain Paplatine's resurrection did they not? Might as well start with this.
Personally I think that it is probably about either Palpatine returning, Thrawn returning, or perhaps a different type of empire like what Thrawn had. I don’t know about the first order I feel like they would want to make more money on these tv series so they are probably going to hold off before they send the first order in. However I would like to see the black wing virus in a Star Wars tv show. Maybe they make a series we’re they explore the empire’s viruses and plagues, I think that could be interesting.
Personally at this point I think Thawn's plans are somewhat disconnected from Palatine's because as of right now he is considered the Heir To the Empire and I don't think he'd really give a damn about Palpatine since it was Palpatine's arrogance that led the Empire losing to the rebels and he only ever worked with Palpatine so could have an empire to defend his people. Palpatine and the Sith were a means to an end for Thrawn and now that he's considered the Heir To the Empire he no longer needs to work with them because quite frankly Sidious needs Thrawn more than Thrawn needs Sidious. Also the cloning plot line seems to more so be apart of Gideon’s own plans as the episode suggests. That’s not to say Gideon’s efforts won’t lead to Snoke because they undoubtedly will but what if it isn’t the way we expect it. what if when his plans inevitablely fail they’ll someday be recovered by the First Order and use it as a means to bring back Palpatine then.
Now this is what came to mind when they said "Project Necromancer". I was waiting to see how many of the deep dive fans that know of the novels "Red Harvest" and "Death Troopers". I would love for them to bring those back into canon to some degree.
Great post. I think it is a little bit of both. Bring back Palpatine which they did. But also creating a way to make undead troopers. I wonder if anyone notices that in these series that moff Gideon is wearing armor that resembles Darth Vader? I think he might of been a fan boy of him. Maybe they are planning to bring back Vader as well?
That would be really cool to bring Vader back, but didn't they burn his body in the Empire Strikes Back? Actually never mind, ashes can hold DNA, I think. LET'S BRING BACK VADER!
Perhaps it's some sort of project to clone ancient Sith lords or give their powers to a host body for Palpatine. His knowledge of lore was deep and he was always searching for that next new breakthrough. Definitely not out of the realm of possibility.
Could it be the captured Jedi seen in storage in the Obi-Wan series are being used as the death troopers because of their force powers and the plan is to clone them so that all the troopers are force sensitive. Think along the lines of Chirrut Îmwe from Rogue One, have the force "with you" to make you a better fighter in combat, not to give you full force powers. Just a thought.

Obviously Project Necromancer has to do something about ressurrecting Palpatine, since they are imperial Loyalists and he Created The Empire, and that was always a comon theme in Legends Sequel, and ended up being also in "Canon" Sequel (EP 9) And The Hux part, maybe they only forgot that part, and again "Bad writing"

Well I could be wrong on this but maybe project necromancer could connect to asoka show according to leaks with night sister magic thrawn and the dark jedis or some night sister created undead stormtroopers take that in grain of salt but I recommend reading this leak cuz I shit you not after undead part it says about fixing amor peaces no I'm not joking it's incredibly stupid
Damn this video got dark quick !
Good music 👌🏾
I’d rather the zombies why? because its a turn the franchise hasn’t truly gone into other than in the book death troopers by a Joe Schreiber
I hope it has something to do with the Rakghoulvirus
Giddion try and create an army of monsters but in the end get affected himself
Are admiral thrawn and cad bane the same species?
No.
Thrawn: Chiss
Cad Bane: Duros
The High Counsil of Galadriel, Elrod, Gandalf and Saruman called Necromancer the entity in the haunted castle. After they confronted that entity the Shadow escaped and led to the South, to Mordor. They at last understood that this was Sauron.
They are doing the verry same thing here!
@@melvynvanleeuwen6617 Subconsciously JRR Tolkien leads the Way!
Please do more videos of bio weapons the Empire made
They should have watched Naruto and learned from Orichamaru.
Wouldn’t this lead to the sequel trilogy being canon?
No matter what they do. They notgoimg to make the sequels any better.
I hope it's this or it has to deal with that Ahsoka leak
Obviously Project Necromancer has to do something about ressurrecting Palpatine, since they are imperial Loyalists and he Created The Empire, and that was always a comon theme in Legends Sequel, and ended up being also in "Canon" Sequel (EP 9)
And The Hux part, maybe they only forgot that part, and again "Bad writing"
star wars and zombies is the most stupid idea I have heard since the sequel trilogy, I hope they turn their brains on for a second and re-think that for christ sake.
Any time you hear that word it has something to do with the dead.
Honestly? I thought it had to do with resurrecting the Empire by creating a line of force-sensitive soldiers or force users (like Baylon and Shin)
*Spoilers*
Well guess I was partly right, Gideon was the one doing the force-sensitive army not Necromancer
Its a lord of the rings crossover and imperial remnant becomes trapped in Dol Guldur
I was always curious about this
