My grandmother owned a white one with maroon interior, beautiful car. Even by today's standards the tech in these is impressive. It was definitely the most luxurious car I had been in for the time when I was a little kid. I even loved being in the backseat period it was really comfortable for being a coupe. I hear people complain about Cadillacs but they're one of the most comfortable cars on the road and they have some of technology and amenities. Riding in one always feels like you're flying first class.
I have this exact cad an my battery is being drained if I don't disconnect I've had this car for a week a buddy gave it to me I love it really would like to get bags working an any ideas on electrical issu
Still have my 97 El Dorado and still running strong for a North Star V8 engine. I guess I must be lucky..LOL....BTW, excellent video of an American classic!!
You are lucky. From what I've heard, the Northstar isn't a bad motor per se, but it does require owners to be ON TOP of their maintenance schedules. Old coolant no long has the corrosion protectants necessary. And aluminum apparently corrodes very easily. Guess what the Northstar is made out of?
I have the same model but in silver. Question; do the red lights on the inside of the doors light up?, on my car they don't, I'm thinking the bulb or fuse is out?, I don't want to break the red plastic light cover just to find out they don't light up. Please advise, BTW great ride.
I've never heard that before. The 4.9s are usually pretty bulletproof. Their one weakness being the water pump, which I've replaced twice now (poor design).
Some 1993 came with the 4.9 also

93 was available with 4.9 also. 93 was also first year for the northstar. I love the 4.9s!!
