Buth..with all this high technology on the train, I dont understand why front doors can not be operated from the driver..
These trains date back to 1978,not sure on the specific date but the oldest ones sre 1978 so they aren't really as modern as you'd think
The real reason is even simpler
You will always need guys on the platform to check the coupling so
let them do it instead of developing a millions of euros worth of useless automatisation
You will make more money 💰

We keep the same system to be able to couple all the TGVs together (from the PSE of 1978 to the Euroduplex of 2012), nothing says that the Avelia will keep this manual system.
The presence of a dockside agent makes it possible to check that the cover is open (avoid destruction of equipment) and that the coupling is complete ... Even if the opening of the cover becomes electronic, it is certain that the agent dock will remain (as in Japan) ... From then on it was given the task of opening the hood ... until now.

France is not a developping country. e have developped trains for decades and our rail network is of a better quality wich allow trains to cruise faster

J'ai été toujours été étonné que l'ouverture des porte de couplage ne soit pas commandée depuis le poste de conduite... l'intervention d'un agent semble anachronique !

C’est des TGV réseaux des 90’s tout comme les Duplex 200, mais les Euroduplex sont automatiquement par cabine donc mais il y a toujours un agent qui se charge de vérifier le bon accouplement
-Timberton 57- Sur les Euro-Duplex (rames 800) l'ouverture se fait depuis la cabine seulement au dessous de 30 km/h. Les capots se referment automatiquement à 30 km/h.
